UFC 328: Chimaev vs. Strickland | Newark

I believe Khamzat is moving up unless the UFC pressures him to rematch
he ain't fighting again until 2027 so who cares
and for sure he's moving up
and now the blueprint is out on how to beat him. (jab jab, circle left) an occasional right, NO KICKING and when Chimaev goes conventional he shoots EVERY TIME. (actually learned something from DC)
He couldn't weight bully Sean and Sean made him work

Also we told everyone that Sean beat DDP in the first match. (not the 2nd, DDP clearly won that)

100%. He had his Silva moments and was mostly shit after that.
Dude was also hella unfortunate. Beating Romero and then forgot to have IQ. Also against Jacare, same. You know I don't belive in old fighters but his decline was a bit misleading imo. The move up to fight Reyes was heinously bad career management. Just awful. I see Rob being the same unless he gets GOAT Jamahal. Will LMAO if he gets Reyes too

Round 3 was closer than 5 IMO

Khamzat 1,3,4 or Sean 2,3,5 are both acceptable
Sean threw do nothing jabs all 3rd, Khamzat bloodied Sean and did actual damage. Reverse in the 5th.

I don't like either guy but wanted Sean to win Borz 134 is the fight that happened though

Mine did. :)

Still lost to my opponent, but I said sean would win. Idk why people doubt this man's ability. NOBODY holds him down lol.
Love ya Xammy, but you thought a J guy was gonna destroy a Burmese guy

the real judges agree with me. The one DEI hire judge of course saw it wrong

and BTW, check my picks, I just didn't have the balls to put big points on it. sigh. picked Van too.
Your whole history of picks shows you don't understand how the sport should be scored. It's wild how you have to joke about how bad you are at it but talk with such confidence. Your misunderstanding of that 3rd round will carry forward into your poor predictions and we shall continue to farm wins from you. Never change

exactly and we just saw him put it to Fluffy and he managed to make it his fight yet again
Everyone says Sean is stupid yet did you see Sean throwing stupid kicks in the first 3+ rounds to give chimaev an easy takedown???????? noooooooo no you did not despite that normally being a big part of his game.

Regains the championship, something almost no one manages to do.

The man has 3 losses at middleweight
1 to DDP who you'll note was a champion
one to Alex, a two weight class champ
and a split to Cannonier. (who TBF was not and will not be a champ)

that's a pretty damn good record. That style of his clearly works (somehow)

a man's got to have convictions.

you keep saying "should be scored" yet I see how it is scored. (unless i really really hate the opponent and then some blind rage may come into my clear eyed analysis). A man's got to be a realist.

Khamzat Chimaev is apparently moving up to Light Heavyweight following his upset title loss to Sean Strickland in the UFC 328 main event last night (Sat., May 9, 2026) inside Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Chimaev had repeatedly teased a move to another division during the buildup to UFC 328, especially because of his infamous brutal weight cuts required to compete at 185 pounds. And according to UFC CEO Dana White, the decision is now official.
“He literally walked up to me after the fight and said, ‘I want to move up. I don’t want to fight in the weight class anymore,’” White told reporters during the UFC 328 post-fight press conference.
White also made it clear he supports the move.

After defeating Chimaev via split decision in the UFC 328 main event last night (Sat., May 9, 2026) inside Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, Strickland revealed during the post-fight press conference that he suffered a shoulder injury earlier in fight week.

“You wanna hear something funny?” Strickland asked reporters. “So on Tuesday, I’m sparring Johnny Eblen — that motherf—ker, PFL champ. And I’m at Plinio Cruz’s gym [Alex Pereira’s coach], and he shoots on me, and I hit this brick wall and I separated my shoulder.”
“So I had a Grade 1 AC joint separation on Tuesday,” Strickland continued. “I remember lying in bed on Tuesday night, and I can’t lay on my left side, and I’m like, ‘You’re such a f—king idiot. You are such a f—king idiot.’”
The newly crowned champion admitted the injury even changed how he prepared backstage before the fight.
“So in the back I usually like to get better warmups, but I didn’t want to warm up and throw my shoulder out, so the entire time I was thinking I’m such a f—king moron.”
