1/4 acre is not much, you are correct. It was actually a perfect workout on a summer day.... that's how I looked at it. It would take me about 2 hours to do it all with the push mower and all the trimming I'd be sweating my ass off. But I've been having some problems with my legs lately and pushing this mower has been kicking my ass. And it's not even that hot yet. So I've been thinking about a riding mower and then I won some cash so it seems like it was meant to be!

my lawnmower is self propelling, squeeze the lever on the handle and it drives itself forward. there's no pushing unless you feel like pushing.

I have a creek right next to my house. There is a decent slope down to the creek that I have to mow. I wonder how the robot would handle that. Or if it would wind up in the creek lol

Mine is $50 regardless - be it just engineered in some guy’s garage or in the final stages of mass production. In the former, I’ll undoubtedly become “that guy” when it goes horribly wrong and ride the notoriety of my mangled genitalia. In the case of the latter, I’ll have received $50 for a stylish Australian trim.

Nice. I bought the cheapest Honda mower I could about 10 years ago so no powertrain there (well, not the total cheapest but about $250). I think I changed the oil in that thing once and never a spark plug. It's been a workhorse! Starts up on the tiniest pull even in the dead of winter. That thing has been one of the best purchases I've ever made just because of the durability.

not sure but they have a very low center of gravity so tipping them would take a hell of an incline. I believe you would set up a geo-fence at the creek line. not exactly sure, but you could be doing something else while it mows.
