All ready considered the greatest female athlete of all time.
The 23x Grand Slam winner will return at Wimbledon later this month after 4 years in retirement.
If the 44-year-old Goat manages to pull off of the massive upset.
Will that make her the greatest athlete of the last 100 years?

Athletes are measured by their records brother.
At least when you're talking about the greatest at all time they are.
But it's an apples to oranges comparison with other sports. How can you compare an individual record vs someone who plays a team game? How can you compare the record of a tennis player and a boxer? I don't think it's possible to determine a greatest athlete of all time by simply looking at the record of their sport.

Athlete of the last 100 years? No probably not female tennis player of the last 100 years, maybe. I think you needed a stronger argument to back this up 3/10

If she wins Wimbledon after 4 years in retirement after already cementing herself in the top 5.I'd argue she's the best ever.
Who could even come close?

I get that but there's no way to put Serena Williams in the octagon with Tom Brady. Of course we're being subjective here but if she's already on Mount Rushmore then if she were to win Wimbledon then a lot has the booster up near the top of the conversation when speaking about All time athletic achievements.
Dang. Reflecting back I remember reading those early sports illustrated articles about Venus and they would ever so slightly mention Serena... She played second fiddle for almost a decade to Venus.
That said imagine adding a Wimbledon title at 44 years old after 4 years in retirement to this resume. 😳
23 Grand Slam singles titles
14 Grand Slam Doubles titles
73 WTA single titles
23 WTA doubles titles
5 WTA Finals Crowns
4X Olympic Champion
2000 (Sydney) Olympic Doubles Gold Medal
2008 (Beijing) Olympic Doubles Gold Medal
2012 (London) Olympic Doubles Gold Medal
2012 (London) Olympic Singles Gold Medal
2 "Serena Slams"
(4 straight GS wins) in 2002 and again in 2014.

I'm not saying she needs to compete in other sports to prove anything, my point is that their accomplishments are extremely different, and Crete's comment about competition is spot on. I really don't think there is any legitimate claim for her being the greatest athlete of all time.

I have noted your extreme fandom, however. You should start a Mokaev-like thread.
