#8 is showing pretty good defense against the side control G&P.
Cats are natural mixed martial artists - they've got excellent striking and grappling. I was watching Nature the other night, and they showed this slow motion shot of a jaguar jumping up from under a leaping gazelle and while both animals were still flying through the air, the jaguar executed a perfect rolling sweep so that it was on top. It was beautiful.

I thought that you were into paleobotany, not this current day animal stuff. Having said that, cats are as amazing physically as they are irritating in their autistic personality. BTW, weren't you the one who had perfected the "tail bar" on the felix domesticus?

Yes this probably should go in off topic - but I think the moderators have to move it.
JT,
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by autistic personalities. If you mean they aren't very social, well, I have to disagree. Both of our cats are very social. Our male cat follows me from room to room, and as soon as I sit down he comes over and taps me on the shoulder with his paw until I pet him, then he promptly falls asleep on my lap. Cats take a long time to develop trust - but once they do, they can be very friendly.
We just had a funny cat fight. Our female cat is much smaller than the male and usually runs away when he wants to battle. We were putting new sheets on our bed and our male cat likes to hide under the fitted sheet so that he's basically sealed in tight and appears as a big bump. Our female cat jumped up on the bed, but didn't realize that the bump was our other cat. She saw the bump start to move so she immediately jumped on it and started clawing the sh*t out of it. The male cat couldn't fight very well trapped under the sheet and finally got his *ss kicked by the girl. He came out from under there all ruffled and shaking his head. It was highly entertaining.
