MID-SEASON AUDIT & CUMULATIVE METRICS (ROUNDS 1–3)

1. MID-SEASON STRUCTURAL AUDIT

Three full rounds of the GENESIS 5: ARMOUR PROTOCOL stress-testing process are officially complete. The calibration phase has concluded, locking in 6 VP across the board and leaving exactly 4 VP remaining on the scarcity clock as we head into the Hardening phase (Rounds 4 and 5).

Through 15 head-to-head combat engagements, the league structure has proven unyielding at the top and highly volatile at the bottom:

THE UNBEATEN PHALANX: CAN OPENERS (T2) stand alone at 3-0 (6 VP, 1104 TP). Their success stems not from isolated ballistic bursts, but from unmatched structural density. With an impressive conversion rate and minimal bench reliance, they enter Round 4 as the undisputed #1 seed.

THE MVP STRIKE FORCE: MEGALODON (T1) sits at 2-1 (4 VP, 1090 TP). Having collected two of the three available MVP Team Bonuses (+10 TP in R1& R3), they have successfully weaponized single-round peaks to offset severe hull breaches (weight misses in R1& R3).

THE BALANCED SHIELD: CASTAWAYS (T3) hold 2-1 (4 VP, 1068 TP). Driven by internal consistency, they boast two roster members inside the top 6 overall individual standings, keeping them well within striking distance of the Grand Slam Finals.

THE RECOVERY ZONE: MERCENARIES (T6) (1-2, 2 VP, 1057 TP) and THE HORSEMEN (T5) (1-2, 2 VP, 1055 TP) sit separated by just 2 TP on the edge of Incineration Risk. Both franchises possess high-ceiling firepower but have suffered from bench waste and crucial deflection losses.

CRITICAL INCINERATION RISK: SALT & PEPPA (T4) remain winless at 0-3 (0 VP, 1015 TP). Despite hosting the current #1 overall BMF Leader (Webble), structural depth deficits have left them 89 TP behind the pace setter.

4. IRON LUNG PROTOCOL: PROJECTIONS & CANDIDATE AUDIT

The 4-Round Calibration phase is officially complete. The IRON LUNG hardware is now LIVE AND UNLOCKED starting in Round 4.

CRITERIA REMINDER: To permanently claim the Iron Lung modification, a fighter MUST be sitting completely outside the Top 10 in individual season standings entering the round, and then post a Top 3 individual high score across the entire league for that specific round.

The Top 10 individual leaders (Webble down to Troop) are strictly locked out of claiming the hardware in Round 4. Based on single-round peak performance and current standings placement, here are the TOP 10 PROJECTED CANDIDATES most capable of triggering the protocol and capturing the Iron Lung:

1. Kumason (CAN OPENERS β€” Rank #11 | 345 PTS): Sitting directly on the bubble (1 point outside the Top 10). Dropped a massive 148 TP in Round 2. He is the ultimate threat to snatch the award on night one of activation.
2. Phatphil88 (THE HORSEMEN β€” Rank #12 | 345 PTS): Tied with Kumason at 345 PTS. Posted 138 TP in Round 1 and 80 TP in Round 3. Consistently flirts with the league's top scoring tier.
3. motives (MERCENARIES β€” Rank #26 | 280 PTS): The ultimate wildcard sniper. Sitting way down at #26 due to an R1 setback, but holds a 143 TP peak (R2) and 82 TP peak (R3). High volatility makes him a premier Iron Lung threat.
4. mmawizzard (MEGALODON β€” Rank #29 | 206 PTS): Fresh off winning the Round 3 MVP Team Bonus with a league-high 86 TP. His low aggregate standing guarantees permanent eligibility, while his ceiling is elite.
5. Gorillapunt (CASTAWAYS β€” Rank #13 | 341 PTS): Dropped 146 TP in Round 1 (3rd highest score in the league). A proven high-ceiling asset primed for a explosive rebound.
6. Fight Magnet (MEGALODON β€” Rank #14 | 338 PTS): The G2 Iron Lung Winner knows how to trigger this exact protocol. Unusually reliable depth asset sitting right below the cut-off line.
7. MrAllen (MERCENARIES β€” Rank #18 | 328 PTS): Exploded for 145 TP in Round 1. Proven capability to breach the top 3 on any fight card.
8. MMAFTM13 (CAN OPENERS β€” Rank #17 | 330 PTS): Delivered a 145 TP round in R1. Holds the explosive power needed to break through the conversion ceiling.
9. FunnyHoneyBunny (CASTAWAYS β€” Rank #16 | 337 PTS): Posted 142 TP in Round 1. Dangerous bench-flex candidate capable of stealing high-score honors.
10. Ufcfan_1 (MERCENARIES β€” Rank #15 | 338 PTS): High floor consistency (136 in R2, 81 in R3). Well positioned outside the top 10 to strike if the top seeds falter.

5. TEAM DEPTH & BENCH SURPLUS MATRIX

Across 3 rounds, a total of 3,210 Ghost Points have been left outside the team conversion zones. Evaluating depth efficiency reveals how well teams utilize their rosters:

β€’ MEGALODON (T1): 434 Ghost Points (Lowest Bench Surplus). They convert almost all available output into active scoreboards, maximizing floor security.
β€’ SALT & PEPPA (T4): 459 Ghost Points. Low bench waste, but caused by low overall team floor rather than high conversion efficiency.
β€’ CAN OPENERS (T2): 503 Ghost Points. Perfect structural balanceβ€”high team totals while leaving adequate depth protection on the bench.
β€’ MERCENARIES (T6): 525 Ghost Points. Mid-tier depth utilization.
β€’ THE HORSEMEN (T5): 630 Ghost Points. Tied for highest bench waste in the league. High individual scores from depth assets are being consistently left outside the 3-man scoring line.
β€’ CASTAWAYS (T3): 630 Ghost Points. Tied for highest bench waste. Their depth is so deep that 130+ TP scores are regularly trapped on the bench.

@the COMMISH - I prolly already axed this but any reason why the seasons are so short? Can we go to a 10 card season? It gives bed shitters a little reprieve - we all have bad weeks here and there. 1 bad week and you're toast.

The short answer? Pure schedule equity, high-voltage stakes, and the fact that 1 bad week does not actually toast your season.

Here is the breakdown on why GENESIS is built as a 5-round sprint rather than a 10-round marathon:

1. THE 6-TEAM SINGLE ROUND-ROBIN
With 6 teams in the league, 5 rounds is the exact mathematical magic number where every team faces every rival exactly once before the Grand Slam Finals. To go 10 cards, we would have to run a full Double Round-Robin. Long seasons lead to fatigue, schedule drag, and low-stakes "filler" weeks. The 5-round format keeps every single week at maximum voltage.

2. "BED SHITTER" PROTECTION IS ALREADY BUILT IN
We already cushion bad weeks through team depth! The Best 3 of 5 Rule means your two lowest scores every round get wiped clean. If one or two fighters on your roster drop the ball, your top 3 assets can still pull out the W.

3. ONE BAD WEEK DOES NOT TOAST YOU
Dropping a match in Round 1 or 2 puts pressure on, but it doesn't kill you. You can literally go 2 Wins – 3 Losses across the regular season and still punch a ticket to the Gold Match IF your Total Points (TP) ceiling and MVP Bonuses keep you afloat.

4. 66% OF THE LEAGUE MAKES FINALS NIGHT
Even if Seed #1 slips away, Seeds #3 and #4 fight in the Bronze Match at the Apex. Plus, with the BMF Title, MVP Team Bonuses (+10 TP), and the post-Round 3 Iron Lung Protocol, there is always individual hardware and prestige to hunt for every single card.

The 5-round burn is designed to test structural integrity under maximum pressure. Tighten up the armor plates and stay in the fight! πŸ₯‹
