I can understand your point because i can speak (mexican) spanish as well as proper spanish, they are greatly different.
I consider being bilingual being able to speak, read and write. Currently I can only do that in 3 languages. Spanish, english and Italian. I can speak a few dialects of german as well (dutch and swiss) limited reading and writing though.
English is actually my 2nd language behind spanish.

Yeah you are right, I was really just joking. I just know how different Spanish is from Mexico to Cuba to Guatemala.
