It seems like every Ufc or event theres a fight that were all waiting to see and thats suppost to be the greatest fight but then it bombs and end up being the worst. 'Johnson/Hardy for example.
Anyways what fights were the most over hyped that ended up being a boring, slow paced lnp fight? Joe Silva is by far the best Match Maker in the mma comunity but you cant always be right about a fight. What fight was the most disspointment that was suppost to be the "fight of the night"

lol, both of these guys games are way more evolved than rumbles laynpray so I would expect to see some exciting rounds. GSP hasnt bored anyone lately, and shields really hasnt that much either besides his last performance cutting weight.

For me it was AS vs Belfort. As great as a KO that was i was hoping for at least one great exchange. Knew it wouldn't go the distance but a couple of rounds would have been nice.
Hughes vs Royce Gracie.. Great wrestler against one of the best BJJ guys in the sport. I just think royce is to old for someone like hughes
Florian vs Penn... Watchin Florian just push Penn against the cage and tryin to tire him out not really fight him and then penn just say ok thats enough and takes him down and taps him.. looked staged
Griffin vs Franklin.. Two good brawlers who are generally exciting and good finishers just scared to engage and fighting not to lose instead of going fo the win.
Guida vs Diaz... Hated seeing Guida lock a bear hug and ride nate around the whole fight
AS vs Thales Leites... How many times can a guy pull guard to nothing and butt scoot
Fedor vs Werdum.. Hurt to watch Fedor tap
GSP vs Hardy... Boring to watch GSP do what ever he wanted to Hardy except stand with him or finish him.. WAR DIAZ

Joe Silva can't dictate what the fighters are going to do, is the problem.

And he cant help that there are dominate fighters that hold the belts and nobody in the weight class is real competition. The fans want to see them fight, the org. and fighter wants to make money. So you make fighters look better than what they are and feed them to the champ. Then us as fans fall victim to the hype. Just business

A year ago Anti-Zuffa people were calling Shields one of the greatest ever.
He signs a contract with Zuffa now he is over-hyped?

Just because you did not like the results of a fight does not qualify it as: "overhyped".

Rashad vs Rampage...........I expected fireworks but Rashad decided to turn it into a hugging contest, he couldnt even take Ramapage down, all he did was a hug fest

the results dont matter.. Its what you expect to see or what your hearing your gonna see compared to what you actually see... Anyone can " hype " a fight or fighter, you, me, the org, or your friends. If I think that a fight could be the best ground, striking, brawling, or technical fight I've ever seen and its not, due to fighters not fighting the way your used to seeing them, or cuts, or quick kos, then you might be let down, And let down and overhyped are pretty close to me
Not sure I would call Royce Gracie one of the best bjj guys in the sport when he fought Hughes

Thats why I put Royce was to old..
