Use the "insert image" tag in the bar right up the message you're writing.

the old way was to paste the image address there but my only option is to upload from device or drag and drop. Is there no option to paste in the image address? If I save to my downloads then drag & drop I get a still pic

Right now, you can drag and drop your images directly from your PC or phone BUT we do have a limit of 10gigs of space. So, from time to time, I'll have to erase some of them.

Click the chain link looking symbol and it will switch from "drop image" to a spot to paste gif url
