Half assed war...In the six weeks since the exchange of fire ended, according to various reports, Iran used the time to dig out dozens of bombed ballistic missile sites, move mobile launchers and, according to a U.S. military official who spoke with the Times, adjust its tactics for the possibility of renewed strikes.
That's unfortunately itHalf assed war...
Half assed war...
ffs man. put both feet in or gtfo of the pool. nobody's gonna remember what didn't happen. This will help him strengthen his legitimacy as someone who tried to avoid war at almost any cost while Iran pushed for renewed war
Look, I agree. But calling it a "disaster" thousands of kilometers away from any war zone because of gas prices... pleaseYup, this is a complete clusterfuck.
Repeated rounds of:
"Hand over the nuclear materials"
"No."
"Do it or you'll be sorry!"
"Nah."
"I mean it, you'll REALLY be sorry!"
"Meh, not gonna happen"
"I swear, you're about to really get it!!!"
"*yawn*"
"Okay, you've forced my hand, civilization ending in 3...2...1..."
*waits*
"I was about to do it, but the Prince called... I'm THIS close though, so you better start playing ball!!"
Meanwhile the meter keeps running and gas keeps increasing in cost. Complete disaster for everyone (except the people who placed Kalshi wagers on oil price spikes minutes before major announcements from Trump, good for them)
Agreed, but personally I don't think that's the reason at this point (it's a quote from the article)ffs man. put both feet in or gtfo of the pool. nobody's gonna remember what didn't happen.
fuck man, can we get a little forethought? can we look beyond the next 48-72 hours? this is not the genius master planner, this is the fool stumbling around in the dark reacting to whatever he bumps into.Agreed, but personally I don't think that's the reason at this point (it's a quote from the article)
It's a breathing plan... lolfuck man, can we get a little forethought? can we look beyond the next 48-72 hours? this is not the genius master planner, this is the fool stumbling around in the dark reacting to whatever he bumps into.
ya ya ya, it's all part of the plan...

yes, increased gas prices are no joke but it's not like you're living in Cuba
I hope you won't know what's actually through war that can physically kill you or people you know means
That's what thought a month+ ago but then they found the blockade option and both these option you mentioned suck, so there are probably a few other options like few days of strikes and then "we're out!" and others nobody here knowsYup, first it was regime change and standing up for the 30,000+ who were killed in the streets.
Now it's "pretty please re-open Hormuz hand over the nuclear material?" followed by, "you won't do it, fine we'll end your civilization!!" followed by, "come on guy, pretty please with sugar on top!?!?!"
It's a disaster because there are only 2 real paths forward now:
1) Balls to the wall all-out war with boots on the ground... after Iran has had almost 2 months to re-group and re-strategize after we tipped our hand on how we'll approach this the first time.
2) Walk away with an Obama'esq era deal where Iran agrees to some concessions, but the IRGC remains in place and the regime continues.
You really can't go back to 'limited strikes'... unless you want humanitarian disasters throughout the region.
I'm honestly hoping for 2 at this point.

If you meant strategically then yes any of these two options you mentioned are likely to be a disaster
It's not the same because you don't give in to any of their ridiculous demands and leave the door open for the futureA few days of strikes then we're out is the same thing as #2.. with the possibility of triggering regional collapse if Iran has indeed had the chance to position remote missile launchers all of the country and will deploy upon getting bombed.
It's not the same because you don't give in to any of their ridiculous demands and leave the door open for the future
I didn't say it's great lol, but probably better than option #2 which isn't happening anywayWell, the good news is we didn't give into their demands.
The bad news is that desalinization plants all over the region were hit and now millions of people don't have access to clean drinking water.
All in all, a great success and the most important thing is not giving into their demands!
He can't.Trump gives Iran ‘two or three days’ to reach deal or face US strike
US president says he was an hour away from approving a new attack before postponing the strike, warning Tehran has only a limited window to reach an agreement

Now we all know there's not gonna be any deal so get on with it
He'll argue the whole ceasefire was a pause that doesn't count if not a separate operationHe can't.
He already played cute with the War Powers Act with the blockade, which is a big grey area. He takes it hot again for anything other than a response to direct aggression, he's going to have a very hard time arguing it's a separate conflict and that the clock should restart.
And with midterms approaching, the inherent unpopularity of this venture, and the current price pain being felt, there's a decent enough shot that enough Republicans defect to reign him in and force his hand to pull us out.
That's why he keeps playing cute with these deadlines, he knows he kicks it off again, there's a more than fair chance Congress intervenes and yanks everyone straight back home.
Yeah, and so long as it stays cold no one is yet willing to have that argument.H

In fact he already has if I'm not mistaken
shit or get off the pot. and quickly, before I have to hear about govt funded breast feeding classes for men next year. or am required to drive a trans, meth using illegal immigrant to the clinic for gender surgery and dental implants.Yeah, and so long as it stays cold no one is yet willing to have that argument.
And it's a pretty weak ass argument, it's basically saying a President can totally circumvent the war powers act by declaring periodic "ceasefires." I see that argument flying about as well as rock stuffed lead balloon.
Facts are, he intentionally heats it back up for anything other than a defensive response to aggression, which Iran knows and is not willing to give, he runs a very large risk of losing control to Congress.
