This, "he deserved the death penalty!" is a wild overreaction.

He didn't randomly stab him unprovoked while he was going to the water fountain.

They had a confrontation and he told him, "if you touch me, really bad shit is going to go down", while reaching into his pocket like he had a knife or gun. Kid decided to roll the dice, and other kid decided to go full retard wanna-be gangster and is now a convicted murderer as a result.

Point is, there were mitigating circumstances. It wasn't a textbook "max penalty possible" scenario.

Idk how I got brought into this, but I'll just say: Bucky, your take is simply asinine.

It's actually very simple. Deadly force is that force which an individual uses which causes death or serious bodily harm OR that force which a reasonable and prudent individual would consider likely to cause death or serious bodily harm.

A light shove is not something that a reasonable and prudent person would consider likely to cause death or serious bodily harm. Additionally, according to witnesses, Anthony "immediately" stabbed Metcalf. Which, if you actually bother to think about it, means that the shove was so light that it didn't even off balance Anthony, further demonstrating a lack of threat justifying deadly force.

That's it. It's that simple. Any other "mitigating circumstances" you're pontificating about are meaningless and window dressing. To even call there "mitigating circumstances" is straight up victim blaming and is pretty fuckin gross.

Just to clarify, but I believe it was the jury who gave the sentence in this case.

Supposed to be taking it light and going easy this week, but couldn't sleep, so I went to the gym at my regular time. There is a woman here I have never seen before, very pretty, and she took the squat rack right in front of where I'm benching.

She keeps looking back at me, smiling, and now is stretching suggestively. I need help.

And BT is good people, he's going through some shit. And Bucky may be too, I've come at him 50x harder and he didn't walk off. So something is up there.

Seems like a typical weekday dustup that's now getting blown out of proportion.
