Round 2- "The Walkout Song"
Picture this scenario, the judges are getting ready for the biggest fight of their career. Your job as their cornerman is to get them physically and mentally ready for the fight. This includes finding a walkout song that gets them pumped and hyped up going into fight. The only condition is that it must be a song they never heard of before. Submitted songs that the judges have heard before will be penalized with a -5, after they graded the song. So yes, it's possible to get a negative score. No write ups, no contacting the judges.

ILL BILL ft. IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE & MAX CAVALERA - "War Is My Destiny"
webble:
I've not heard it, its not v catchy the hook is good the beat is good but I don't love the lyrics 6/10
cmvideo75:
Coming out of the box strong here! I like old school angry rap. It's got the dramatic beat happening and good subject matter for a fight song. Plus it's got Max screaming the chorus! Big Sepultura fan here but I never heard this crossover. I'm digging it. I'd walk out to it. 9/10
Brick:
Started out not bad, but a bit too “Nu Metal” for me. I think the mixing of rap and rock is mostly an abomination. The song got worse the further it went. Max helped a bit (I’ve been to a few of his shows), but I’d prefer he keep his name off of this kind of stuff entirely. Going 5/10.
GoodCat:
Love the music for sure. Reminds me of something from one of the Fight Night soundtracks from back in the day. Never heard it either, so no deduction. However, I kinda wish this was just instrumental, cause the lyrics just don’t hit for me. I’m sure Ill Bill is probably a nod to Kill Bill, so in that regard the lyrics do fit. But I’m just trying to get hyped for an MMA fight, not get revenge on an entire gang for killing my family. 8/10

FINAL FANTASY VIII Remastered - Landing in Dollet
starting from 0:09
webble:
not heard it, I think this appeals to a certain audience that isn't me 3/10
cmvideo75:
Pretty cool idea. Kind of reminds me of some of the old Pride walkouts. I'd walk to this if I had to, but it wouldn't get me too pumped up. Not much of a gamer so I never heard this before either. 6/10
Brick:
Way too slow. You only have so much time for your walkout music, so it better kick off quick and get the crowd and the fighter going. This just didn’t do it at all. 3/10.
GoodCat:
Dafuq is this? Like, I don’t mean to laugh if you’re serious with this pick, but is this actually a joke? 1/10

Mirwais - Disco Science

webble:
not heard it like the beat but I want lyrics please 3/10
cmvideo75:
I mean we're going to fight, not make porn. 3/10
Brick:
A song featuring a guy fingering his butthole is supposed to get me pumped up to fight? This was utterly terrible. 2/10.
GoodCat:
So this isn’t anywhere near as bad as the Final Fantasy submission, but it’s still pretty bad. Like, this song would seriously hype you up as your walk out song for a fight? It’s not even one of those festival type electronica songs that get the crowd hyped. It’s just random sounds. 3/10

Tom Morello - Hold The Line
webble:
Hold The Line not heard it and I've been missing out its good 8/10
cmvideo75:
Oh man, this just makes me want old school RATM back. Sounds like a leftover track they discarded and the guy singing is super annoying. I wouldn't walk out to this since just about every Rage song is better. It's got the big riff but very uninspired. I never heard it before so no hit there. 5/10
Brick:
Seems to be a pretty respectable walk out song, I can dig it. 8/10.
GoodCat:
I like this one overall, but a few nitpicks. I'm not gonna take off too much because of them, but firstly, I can't stand the dude's voice. He sounds like someone trying to do a voice for a voice acting role in some animated movie or something. And my other nitpick, is that the chord progression is Tom ripping himself off from Cochise by Audioslave. It's almost the exact same as the chord progression in the intro of that song. However, I did say I liked it. The lyrics kind of fit as well, as it talks about persevering thru adversity. And it is a pretty hype song, especially the little build up to the chorus. 7/10

The Prodigy - Hot Ride
webble:
not heard it don't love or hate it 7/10
cmvideo75:
This is decent. Probably better for a female fighter to walk out to, but the vibe is cool for a walkout song. I'd consider it if I was of the other gender. 6/10
Brick:
I know a bit of Prodigy, but I guess just their main hits as I don’t think I’ve ever heard this one. They have some better songs for walk-out for sure, but you almost certainly would have been risking a -5 deduction had you picked “Breathe,” “Firestarter,” or what would have been a pre-deduction 10/10 from me for “Smack My Bitch Up” (but Dana would never let me use that, lol). This one was ringing somewhat of a bell, but not something I can put my finger on as definitely having heard before. Didn’t love it as a walkout song, but didn’t hate it. 6/10.
GoodCat:
This was is pretty decent. I can definitely hear that intro playing as they have that wide angle shot of the whole arena right before the fighter comes out from backstage. It also kind of sounds like it should be in the soundtrack to a racing game, or maybe something in one of the scenes from Sin City. Lyrics don't really mater in this case, but I'd have rather heard Smack My Bitch Up lol. It does kind of just drone on after a while. The song itself should have been about half as long as it was. 6/10
