Maybe he could have. . But its every bit as plausible that Serena's highest tier tennis skills are transferable at a high level as well.

The op's question is if she hypothetically were to win Wimbledon would that rank her as the greatest.
It's not meant to try to argue she can beat men.
As she's stated herself she could not.
But she's already considered a top ten all time athlete on most lists.
It's not a far stretch of the imagination that coming out of retirement and tying the all-time win record ..
(both men and woman's) at the most prestigious event might bump her up in the conversation.

You said greatest athlete and proceeded to rank her amongst male athletes, even putting her on the Mount Rushmore and calling her "the greatest athlete of the past 100 years."

That means YOU opened this particular door. Because you're comparing her accomplishments against men who had far greater athletic competition, you have to level the scale and factor in how she'd compete against men for it to be a true 1:1 comparison. Because THOSE great athletes DID compete against men at the highest level.

And in that standardized comparison, she falls well short of the mark you've claimed, which means your initial claim of her being on the Mt Rushmore etc etc is patently asinine and srupid.

I've given you the off ramp to back down and call her the greatest FEMALE athlete of all time, which no one here would dispute, but you haven't wanted to take it and kept doubling down.

Don't cry about because even the object of your affection doesn't agree with your stupid claim. Change your tampon, take the L, and move on.

You started a conversation, expecting a slurpfest for your little crush, and got rightly hammered for it. And you've been pouting ever since.

My stance hasn't changed: You want to call someone the greatest athlete, they have to be objectively compared to the other greatest athletes. Which means you don't get to tilt the scale simply because she's a woman. She falls short because, BY HER OWN ADMISSION, she did not play at the highest level of her sport. She played at the JV level, and did not face the absolute toughest competition in her sport (which again, by her own admission, would be the men). It doesn't matter that she "faced her peers." Her peers were a level below the top of the sport.

She could've competed against men. Again, nothing stopping her from doing so. She chose not too, which is fine, but she's not the greatest athlete cuz she spent her career in the minor leagues.

Greatest female athlete, sure, go nuts. Keep jacking your tiny flaccid penis to that to your hearts content.

Greatest athlete, no. Not even close. Get over it. No one agrees with you, and you just sound like a whiny simp.

Girl sports are hard to really judge and girl sports dominated by white ladies is even harder. She is an amazing black female athlete who dominates a sport of white women. If she were playing a sport dominated by black athletes then I'd giver her more accolades, but it'd be like me dominating pickleball at my mom's old folks home.
