I predict this will be high tide for Mamdani. Trump is making it easy for the extremists to win right now.

As predicted, Iran already starting to FAFO, attacking a cargo ship. That's why I wasn't too worked up about this so-called "MOU." It seemed clear they would violate it, we would back out, and bombs start dropping again.

New York's Rent Guidelines Board approved a two-year rent freeze for one million rent-stabilized apartments in the city, with seven members voting in favor and one against. The precedent-setting decision marks the first significant political victory for Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who is fulfilling his central campaign promise and consolidating his power. Mamdani, who appointed six of the board's nine members, faced sharp criticism from landlord organizations who argued that the freeze would impair their ability to cover maintenance and insurance costs. Just hours before the vote, the landlords' representative on the board, attorney Christina Smith, resigned and stated that the body had crossed a legal line by advancing the move contrary to economic data.

But we don't have the political will to start really shooting again. That is our problem here. Trump had a limited window to be able to rain down hellfire at his whim and he blew it. Terrible handling of the military.

I just keep reminding myself that Kamala would have been worse....and then looking forward hopefully to a Rubio presidency. But goddamn am I hating this so much.

Even if Trump wanted to, now it's going to be increasingly harder for him to go full force on Iran.

He's purposefully driving the landlords out to buy up the buildings. Incremental communism. Freezing rent is insanity.
