@Brick My Father always carried a copy of "The Light in the Forest" with him. One copy, same copy. For him, perhaps, it was a wish list. He had every one of his kids read it. Heavy handed<Understatement. Americans fall in copy with one culture after another, injuns being a darling. Fiction that acts otherwise is hilarious--if YOUR culture is outside the hearing range of derisive laughter. Or you're a teenager who knows everything and dad, and everything he touts, is stupid. I'm in there somewhere.

It works when people do that if the message they are replying to is directly above theirs, but if it isn't, now you're just making people do work to go back and find the comment they are replying to. It also takes more work to @ someone than just pushing reply. It's a strange and inefficient habit.

when you use "reply" people can see what question you're answering without scrolling up. Brick has well over a bakers dozen of books just on this page.

accidents are rarely true accidents. I would go there first

I'm not familiar with either work or the authors, so I can't advise. However, it seems The Buffalo Hunter Hunter was well-reviewed and won some pretty prestigious awards, so it seems you can't go wrong there.
