No idea how my pics from the phone magically move to here, so i have to use public pics, sorry 
Saturday my wife and me went for a walk to this forest:

I planned that we cross the forest once and afterwards turn around and eat in the restaurant in the middle of the forest.
Google said 1 hour for that trip.
After 2,5 hours, still not close to the southern exit, we gave up and went eating directly
Food was good, not great
The big castle in the middle was closed.
The tower next to the restaurant was closed.
There was a vending machine in the middle of the forest selling game sausages and stuff.
The sausages were only okay..
But we saw many lizards, which is kinda rare for Germany (imo)
My 16 year old me might punch me in the face, but even if half the stuff did not work out perfectly, being outside in the nature feels good.
Next week we plan to go here:

It’s cheap here and my knees don’t let me run so I swim.I dislike the politics in my area as well as the cost of living, but damn is it a beautiful place to live.
Post some pics of your area.
This was my Sunday run.
Don’t knock it. I do van life one or two nights a week and would happily do more.
Apparently my photos are too big. I’m now really proud of my phone. It must be incredibly powerful

It’s the main beach I swim at. Had a great dip on Thursday. The sea is legit hot now. Not just swimmable. It’s hot.
There’s rarely anyone there.
Was gonna swim tomorrow morning but we had an earthquake today so I’m gonna be sensible and study instead.

Plus it's unbelievably safe here, even though it's a suburb of a major city with its own crime problems. I think there have been two murders in this city of 50K over the past decade, and that was all because one crazy foreign dad killed his wife and kid then offed himself.

Been upping my van life game lately.. Got a Jackery and mobile air conditioner.
Useless. Noisy and Overheats to dangerous levels and I end up just opening the windows (I have gauze).
It’s boiling hot and mosquitoes do make it through the nets but it’s worth the experiment.
I think it will be better to put it outside the car and pump the cold air in.

That water is soooo blue. I can only imagine growing up in a place like this. I grew up right by the beach in Staten Island. The water was brown/green. You couldn't walk into the water without getting seaweed wrapped around your feet and there was a 50% chance you might step on a needle. Someone also burned down a section of the boardwalk and another section was collapsed because someone drove a van on it lol.Cyprus
First vacation since the war started at October 7th 2023
They cleaned it all up in the 90's and 2000's and it is WAY better now. They rebuilt a nice boardwalk and cleaned up the beach. But the water is still shit brown and who knows WTF is in there. I get so jelly when I see water pics like this one.

I got junior a sweet FS MTB and been riding single tracks with him. I'm getting back into it. I'm on a 12-15 yo hard tail but IDGAF, I'm not entering any races and my bike gets me up and down the hill just fine.
