GOAT MVP exposed how inept the match makers and mediocre tall people are.
And let's not start on Vice GOAT Almeida.
 
I don’t mind MVP as a person, I think he’s pretty cool and he was once a serious, exciting striker, but something’s changed, could be his age. it’s as if he’s terrified to make any mistake making him hesitant as can be to engage and that has made him a boring fighter. It’s time to move on and I don’t blame the UFC for not negotiating a new deal.

I always considered him to be a hooligan. I'm thinking maybe he made a couple cheap shots at one time, and it left a bad impression on me, but I may be mistaken about that. As a pure fighter, there's nothing wrong with him and his style (his old style apparently).

it's entertainment value. Point fighters will always struggle, even though they are good fighters. If MVP would on-board a little Wonderboy to his style he'd sell much better.

Also false. Late career MVP is about tactical intelligence. He beat Lima in the rematch and in the first fight was happy to fight an exciting style. Roll the dice. Also against Garry he was trying to do that but Garry preferred wrestle stalling.
MVP will not take any risks against a mediocre opponent for fear of the shame of being KOd by a scrub. That is his problem. Against a higher level opponent he goes for it. He (wrongly) respected Kevin Holland a lot so he also threw hard and often there too. Shara was supposed to be a striking genius so he showed him how it’s done. Cannonier was a challenge as a top 10 MW so again he threw and attacked more. Not high volume but much more than against these scrubs.
The match makers don’t understand psychology enough to make these links. They are of the mind that ‘durrr, if he’s good enough he’ll KO the scrubs’.
Doesn’t always work like that.

He was doing that in his first 4 fights. Only stopped when they de-escalated the competition and gave him negative energy and negative opposition. He wanted a title run or nothing. Also needs a style that offers counter chances or a shorter fighter he can stay safe against. These giant lummox types are the absolute worst for him.
WB Vs Woodley fought the same or worse than MVP because Woodley was negative. It’s unavoidable so you have to match make well.
The ‘let’s make WB Vs MVP’ crowd were some of the least educated MMA fans of all.
Absolutely awful match. Both refused it in fact cuz they knew it’s a staring contest.

^Oh boy, maybe not resigning MVP was a little harsh after all. Let’s look at the evidence. Niko lost the last 4, 3 finishes, 5th fight wins a decision. Loses the next two by knockout, 8th fight wins a decision. Loses the next two with a 3rd a draw that was a No Contest. Record is 2/8 with one NC in the last 11.

Not sure what Niko has on someone in the UFC, but it must be a humdinger. Just fucking cut this loser ffs.
