It won't die down. With these types of Muslims, their goal is to take over the country they are in and institute Sharia Law. This is their stated intention. They will see this as a victory and keep pushing. Other movements will spring up across Europe to duplicate the success. This must be stopped now.

Normally, yes. But there is a possibility that public sentiment becomes so strong that he has no choice. No group of people anywhere will put up with this kinda crap forever. All people will turn to a strongman (or perhaps strongwoman in this case) eventually to keep them safe. People will always choose safety over morals eventually. Everyone has their limit.
