Trump cancels live broadcast of Palestinian-origin terrorist's execution
U.S. President Donald Trump said that contrary to the Pentagon's announcement last week, the execution by firing squad of Palestinian-origin terrorist Nidal Malik Hasan will not be broadcast live. Trump wrote on Truth Social that "broadcasting the execution for all to see could have been a strong deterrent for the world to witness how America deals with terrorists and scum like Hasan, but many good people would prefer not to watch him die on broadcast. He will die, as planned, by firing squad, but this event will not be broadcast." Hasan was convicted of murdering 13 people in a shooting spree at Fort Hood in 2009 in Texas.
