You brought up Russell, I stated I left him off for a reason, YOU brought up russell and I asked, what you wanted, you brought up accolades, I brought up better accolades. YOU brought up "It's widely considered by people that is wilt hadn't...."
So I brought up what people said about Jordan and what he did. Literally stated my only thing was to counter all your arguments. I said what people said about Jordan.. just better.

You can't bring something up, then get mad I counter it and go "Nope wasn't in your original argument." It can't be, because you brought up a new argument.. so now it needs to be addressed...

My original stance

Ao obviously it's michael jordan, 100% in the finals, 6 rings, 5 mvp's, DPOY, 10 time scoring champion, etc...

BUT, people like to debate and use Kobe, Magic, Chamberlain, Lebron, etc...
And they ATTEMPT to use stats or something else to prove their point.
Like LeBron playing 24 years and having 40k points (longevity stat, which no player beats bron at)

Then you brought up 'eras' which is literally in my first sentence, "So few people in sports that can claim to being the best of THEIR time, and less included in the GOAT discussion." Is 'their time' not 'era'? Did it somehow get changed over time? So when someone says "Their time" They don't mean "era"?


I can sit here and tell you Messi is the greatest soccer player ever, give examples.. Then you can come in and go "Yeah but with these accolades and people also believe that ronaldo would've won the cup if..."

So then I counter with something people say about messi, and you go "That wasn't in your original argument. Nowhere did you say about people" yeah.. it's a different conversation when YOU bring it up, .. it needs to be addressed.. I tend to avoid public opinion, because we see how y'all are with Goat Jones, so why would I need public opinion on anything? You brought up what people think about a situation with Wilt, YOU brought up what people think wilt would've done, had he not stopped playing in a season..

I love you @bconcrete, don't take anything I might be saying out of context, it's me speaking as I'm typing. You're knowledgable in any and everything we've discussed.

I just think sometimes.. people focus on winning the argument, more than the actual argument.

Right, as my original point said, which you conveniently forget, was that your original criteria was flawed and incomplete. If it was actually correct and comprehensive you wouldn't need to bring additional points in, it would stand on its own. It didn't, hence my original contention of a flawed argument holds.

You're the only stressing, I'm giggling at how spun up you are. Idc one way or the other, you just get like this whenever it's pointed out your supposed rock solid argument isn't as sturdy as you think it is. If it was, you wouldn't need more than your original criteria to prove your claim.

Heres another demonstrative example since I'm having fun: if you were to say 'Jordan is the GOAT and here's why' and list his accolades, that's one thing. But, if you say 'GOAT status is determined by accolades and...blah blah blah' but leave off several of the evaluative criteria you're using to determine it, that is flawed premise. You did the latter, hence, flawed premise.

Well, then you're dealing with yet another flawed premise. Because it's not GOTE (greatest of their era) it's GOAT (greatest of ALL TIME), no? I mean, that's what YOU constantly say. Are there different definitions of "all time" im not aware of? Because I believe in the com.on vernacular it means... "all time" not "their era."

Well if you give a list of GOAT criteria, and then don't follow it and then choose to use other criteria not named, yeah, I'll mention it as yet another flawed argument. You made a contention, it was shown to be incorrect, so you then introduce additional criteria not originally present to justify.

Well, he obviously doesn't like you.

But, it's hard to make peace when someone, in the same sentence they're 'making peace' in.. is telling you, that you said disgraceful things, and brought up their family, much less Daughter in it....

I think either you or Eranys just had a new beautiful child. So, I think that comment probably hits VERY close to home.
