NBA and College Basketball

And this is why Jim Dolan is a huge piece of shit. He did a phishing scam on his own Knicks employees to avoid giving them their championship rings. What a bastard. And the coaches got empty boxes on ring night.

However I do have to say the ring itself is pretty incredible. It is huge and in the center of it, MSG is hidden and when you spin the top, MSG rises up from inside the ring. Pretty crazy. Can only imagine what they cost.

I have zero problem with that. These fuckheads working at companies will click on anything and thereby compromise company security. You have to do regular phishing tests to make them learn. It wasn't a "phishing scam" it was a legit test that every company does. We used to get about 2 of these a month and these idiots I worked with would still fail them.

And I see nothing in the article suggesting that those that failed the test were denied their rightful rings.

And the empty boxes were because they hadn't been fitted for their actual rings yet.

Did you read this article at all?

2 a month is wild... my company will do them a once a quarter max.

But yes, most midsize to large companies do some form of that test.

They totally updated the article at the link. This was not the article I read. The original one said it was done internally (now they are saying it was an external group) and that the rings were being withheld from the employees.

I worked with this man directly and have personally witnessed how he treated his lower level employees. This is completely in his playbook and I 100% believe they backtracked after that original article was posted and spun this shit. I can tell you many petty petty stories about this POS. His niece is on sportscenter every night. I was actually surprised they ran this on him and not surprised they changed the article.

And they had time to fit all the players but not 5 coaches?? Get outta here with that bs. The man is a petty game player.

Still a POS move

Still a POS move
This guy is the epitome of a nepo baby. He has a blues band called JD and the Straight Shot where he sings and plays harmonica while a bunch of actually talented musicians play behind him. He used to do a show at a local bar every christmas and his staff was pretty much forced to go. Not directly tho... the first year he did it, a few people didn't go and right after the holidays they coincidentally got laid off. After that year everyone made sure they went lol. Can you imagine being forced to go watch your billionaire nepo baby boss pretend to be a blues man?

Here's one of their songs... this guy is a fucking billionaire... feeling lucky with his horse racing ticket in his hand... smh.

OK, that makes a lot more sense, that we had read two totally different articles.

I like the "Oh win for me" background singer lady.

Man, I can't stand that.

I get where they make edits for grammar, or, to insert a quote/response from someone who they had reached out to but hadn't responded to comment initially.

I hate when they update stories to the point where the same link is presenting completely different information.

Who is his niece?

Erin Dolan isn't related to James Dolan... I only know this because one of my buddies was saying she was a nepo baby (Sportscenter or whatever wagering show it is that she appears on was on in the background) and I was like, "uh, I don't think so?"

Not saying that James Dolan isn't a total scumbag (he is)... I just don't think he has any immediate family that appears on Sportscenter on any type of regular basis?

Interesting. The first time I saw her (last year or so) I said she can't be Jim's daughter, so I looked her up and I'm sure that Google told me that she was his niece and it said she was from the Delco area too, which makes sense. But I just checked it and now google is saying they are not related but she is from this area. Hmph... you got me again internet!

That's the thing about how AI works. AI is trained Pavlovian style. If AI screws up, AI gets 'tortured'. As a result, AI search engines will shit out a response even if it cannot cleanly verify if the response is correct. As a result, you see some funny results.

Look at the price of Knicks tickets compared to the rest of the league lol. I know they are in NYC and the champs but this is funny... and these are 2 terrrrrrrible teams they are playing. I wonder what the bottom price is for a Lakers game these days.

Rangers are same way. Dolan charges the NYC premium. It's like getting tickets for a Maple Leafs game in Toronto.

He is not selling to just fans. He is selling to tourists who want the 'authentic NYC experience'. In that case he should include an add on of having them step in human shit by Port Authority and get flashed by a homeless guy.
