was so ready to hate this game, after all the hype.
Played the first hour and was still convinced it is dogshit.
Then the "game started" and the dialogues and soundtrack were insane.
Still have my gripes with some things, but all in all, this was a really really nice game.

Ya, I was skeptical going in, and that first hour was kinda tough. Didn't take me long to start enjoying it, and it just kept getting better and better. Amazing what they pulled off with such a small budget.

I'm trying to play the Assassins Creed Shadows, I was super stoked with the Samurai theme, but I just can't get into it.

Anyone else play it? I feel like it's dragging on.

Last AC I played was Valhalla. It was ok.

I stopped after Odyssey. Felt like a total drag as well. First AC where I was like, "Thank God it's over." Valhalla looked like more of the same. Mirage kinda went back old school, but it was too late for me to care. Shadows gameplay looked awkward to me.

Having said all that, I'm definitely playing the remake of Black Flag. That was prime AC.

Ghost of Tsushima and Ghost of Yotel did a much better job IMO. Pretty sure you can get GoT for cheap on ps5 or steam.

Watched a vid of GoT vs Shadows. 5 yrs older and less than half the budget and GoT still the much better game.

If there are any pc sandbox survival fans, Windrose is taking up my time atm. Best survival/openworld/pirate game out there.
