I just wonder why people think that. This is not a debate topic, more of a question. He started out 14-0 before losing two fights to Joachim Hansen and BJ Penn. He then won 10 straight before losing to Marcus Auerilo (A decent fighter). He then went on to win 5 more straight before losing to a nobody and then Satoru Kitaoka, a very versed person in submissions (he trains with Nippon Top Team). Since then he has won five straight. His record is 31-5. So somebody, educate me.

I think it's mainly due to the fact he's fallen off the radar. Nobody ever really mentions Gomi anymore. Add that he's
not fighting top guys consistently anymore either. That's all about to change though.

Gomi is going to cave Florian's face in.
(or so I hope)

Gomi's on a five fight win streak? Huh? I see him at 3-2 in his last five.
I think Gomi's problem is that since Pride, he really has done much or fought anyone, while other guys have really stepped in up. The UFC's LW division has a lot of top guys, and those that aren't in the UFC (Hansen, Aoki, Alvarez, JZ, ect) are fighting each other. Gomi is 3-2 in his last five and hasn't faced anyone that's even close to the caliber of those guys.
