Aleksander Emelianenko joins KSW

Polish MMA organisation KSW has a verbal agreement in place with Russian heavyweight Aleksander Emelianenko. He is expected to make his debut in the promotion “soon”.
KSW owners Maciej Kawulski and Martin Lewandowski met with Aleksander, brother of former PRIDE FC heavyweight champion Fedor, in the Hyatt Hotel in Warsaw this week. Fighters Only was told today that “the talks were held in a friendly atmosphere, they were serious and substantial, but also not without smiles and laughter.”
A KSW spokesman added “Both sides could not hide their contentment after the agreement was reached on Emelianenko’s participation in KSW events. We have a verbal agreement in place with Aleksander and we can reveal that Polish MMA fans will be soon able to see this formidable fighter on the KSW ring.”
A former PRIDE FC fighter himself, Aleksander was widely regarded to have some of the best hands in the heavyweight division and has wins over Sergei Kharitonov and James Thompson. He has a 17-3 record overall and is unbeaten in his last eight fights.
Aleksander may well debut against Polish strongman turned MMA fighter Mariusz Pudzianowski. A five-time winner of The World’s Strongest Man, he is 2-1 in mixed martial arts. His last fight was a tough loss to former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia in May.

To be fair James Thompson was 6-2 during that fight then went on a 6 fight win streak after that loss to Aleksander. Not impressive but eh just showing a little bit of the other James Thompson lol, anyways yea not a notable win though

I was just wondering what ever happened to Aleks. Glad to hear that he will be fighting "soon". He has always been one of my favorites. I'd love to see him brutely KO Pudz!!

Man, I was always a huge fan of Aleksander. Not only he is he one helluva character but he had formidable skills as a HW and would have made some exciting match-ups in the UFC.
Oh well. Had to be a reason he hadn't fought anywhere for so long. Hep C is a career killer. I wonder what he will do to make a living. In Russia, the options are quite varied for a guy with his skills and tattoos.
Although I guess Fedor has enough money to help his brother out.

Hep C is from blood, sharing needles, dirty tattoo needles etc. the STD comment is funny on many level's, people having Herpe's and fighting and spreading that crap is cool but Hep isnt?? Must make fighter's feel awesome bringing home some herpes for their wife after a scrap, or maybe some HPV to go along with it hahahhaa

aperently is confirmed by KSW promoters, well this confirms the rumors about aleksander not been with a big promotion, Hep C is very infectous disesd and you just need blood to blood contact to get infected so definity is very risky to have a figther with Hep C figthing in a blood contact sport
