Why he should not defend his K1 title? And he defended his strikeforce title in may. AO said on K1 postfight intervieuw Overeem vs Werdum is likely in May.

i would not call a joke on someone that just got the K-1 title been an MMA figther, is like shilt or some good figther in K-1 taking the HW UFC title right now, Alistair deserve the credit and i dont want to disrespect you hitman but is a joke the people that call him a joke when he just got that great goal and belt in his career, nobody else in MMA has done that.
also like other point here there is nothing wrong with him wanting another title, yes is the dream HW title that will mean not much and he alredy said to fight Werdum arguably the best BJJ HW right now in may so there is nothing of Alistair that indicate us that he is a joke

No matter what his other contracts say his lawyer will be telling him not to do MMA any where until the shite with Roy Jones Jr is done. What ever happened to justice delayed is justice denied? I have a case I have been following for over 8 years now. It is going to take a year for Roys just to get started.

Everyone of MMA sites seem so righteous in their financial decisions, that there is no concept that Alistair Overeem makes good money for soft MMA opponents. There's a belief that you should risk your current continued success just for the sake of competition and to possibly, but not likely, satisfy MMA fans.
It's also lost on people that he's European, and he fights in many places closer to home then the states. If you're in the UFC or a locked in contract, you don't get to fight in Japan anymore. Some people like Japan and the Japanese cards.
I watched the mini documentary series on Alistair and i can tell you when it comes to buisness and money he knows alot about it. he use to have his own magazine but stopped for MMA
