With his (unexpected) loss to Big Foot, who do you think his next fight will be against? Assuming Big Foot is going to get ran through. (if you don't agree explain) Is there a possible rematch in store. Why do you think Overeem lost to Big Foot, was it carelessness, mistake and counter, or Big Foot was just better? Any other Overeem thoughts?
I am hoping for a Big Foot rematch and hopefully Overeem will respect him this time. The first time they fought , he just had his hands down with no respect at all, even when he got caught , he kept his hands down, the fighters are in the UFC for a reason, all of them can swing like hammers, especially in this division.

I feel the same way, the only way will be a power punch, which can happen alot in heavyweights. No one will batter him, or wrestle him to a win, no one will take the decision.
just about anyone can win the title at HW.......since they are all heavy hitters. Only issue is AO folds easily and won't hold it for long if he ever gets it.

He's truly a LHW, that Swelled up in a weight-room and kept the same Chin he had all along, and now has to deal with American regulations. He had his opportunity to make it through some cracks. Its now passed. He could make one or two more good draws, but no Championship run material. Cain is a beast, I see him being champ for a long time, and if he loses it, he will get it right back.

Good Point, Do you know when he first started fighting what his weight was? or what he walks around at now? And Cain will only lose by a power punch then rematch and get it back , i agree on that
If he will learn to keep his hands up and not be so cocky i believe he has all the tools to get the belt. The man has done more than any other HW fighter in history with all the belts at one time. K-1 is no Joke and as people have now seen neither was Strike Force! Big Foot did not beat AO, AO beat himself. Keep your hands down with any UFC HW and you will get knocked out, no matter what kind of chin you think someone has. On that note, I can't believe BF is fighting for a Title but this is the WWE oop's, The UFC. Sorrry i get confused sometimes when i see some of the things that happen.
lol he lost once since 2007 after a year long suspension (and won the first 2 rounds of the fight). Why is it panic time for Overeem's future? All of a sudden he has no chin and his career is in jeopardy? Will he win a UFC championship? Probably not.....but not many guys will.
Yes, his best years are behind him, but with a shallow division and his hype, I'd definitely say that the UFC will be 'ushering' him to a title fight by giving him two fights he should win i.e. vs over-ranked opponents. I'm thinking Struve, Mir or Rothwell is his next fight (not sure how the recovery on Struve's jaw is going. I think I read he thinks he'll be ready to fight in late Sept or Oct.) and then winner of Werdum vs Big Nog or Roy Nelson (if Roy wins his next fight) for #1 contender.

The issue wasn't that he lost once since 07, it's WHY people believe he only lost once. It's curious that after years of speculation he gets popped after his first fight in the UFC. Knowing that he's going to be under a constant micrscope it's become obvious he's forced to fight clean.
So, the question really is: without the use of PEDs/TRT what is Overeems future in the UFC? The answer is not much of a future.

Well that comment is a bit of a stretch, last I checked no one tied AOs hands behind his back. He lost the fight fair and square, no need to try and sugarcoat it as anything other than what it was...a brutal beatdown. Woulda,Coulda,Shoulda doesn't change the "actual" outcome

But it does imply that he is a beast , and only got caught for the loss, not battered down
