It appears Anderson rewatched the fight and studied what he did wrong. He's probably going with the same gameplan, so expect some "mocking", hands down and lots of movement.
I'll never again stand with my legs parallel anywhere. Now, even to talk to someone I'm standing on my fight base. I had to have taken a step back. The mistakes I made in that fight - this is the first time I'm talking about it - were basic mistakes. I did everything I had to, I just didn't hit him. I didn't counter. When I ended with my legs parallel, I had to strike before and then taken a step back. That's whta I didn't do. I've gone through my mistakes, studied them and now just have to train and have a different fight. It'll be a hard fight, and if it stays standing, it'll be a short one.

I think Weidman is going to decide the outcome of this fight. If he thinks he can beat Silva just by standing with him (like he did last time in round 2) - he's going to lose.
Weidman is gonna sub him this time, he'll get a TD, land some ground and pound, grab an arm triangle and hop into side control
i can already hear bruce buffer announcing it in my head already
Winner by technical submission (arm triangle choke) at 3:47 of round 1, and STILL CHAMPION, Chris WEIDMAN!

I won't bet against AS until I see more proof his is starting to fade. CW won the first fight, but there are question marks behind the win. Not taking anything away from him, He KO'd one of the GOAT's. He will put all the questions to rest if he wins again.

Same here. Looking forward to the issue being settled either way.

Is it wrong to already took forward for the trilogy fight? I hope Chris at least keeps this close.

idk man, a trilogy only makes sense when the fighters are 1-1

Will Chris get an instant rematch if he loses???

Hope not. You give a multiple-time champ and instant rematch, but I don't like the instant for a one-time belt winner. Each does one more fight, then come back together if they win. But the same fight three times in a row sort of sucks.

I want Weidman to lose so him and his cocky fans can shut their mouth but I also want him to win so Belfort can get dips on him next

You might get your wish even if he loses. Maybe if Anderson wins, he takes 6-8 months off, and the winner of Weidman-Belfort in the meantime gets the shot. I could live with that.

It will be really nice of Weidman to make a sandwich for Anderson.
yeah Silva did basic mistakes cause he didn't recognize Weidmans stand up skills, they're not top level, but are made more effective cause of how he can combine them with his TD's.
but it was more than that, Silva being the supreme striker at this stage, looks to counter and not use footwork. Usually this is a sign that they know they can't use as much movement as before but know they can time their opponents and load up for the KO counter. but when they fight a wrestler/ grappler they have to recognize that first step and decide if it's a TD or not. usually grapplers will telegraph their strikes, but if they can use that first step to either go for a TD or then use it for strikes, then then TD'S/ clinch attempt etc. it becomes a nightmare for even the greatest striker cause they can't read and time their opponent.
so Weidman believe or not has more options. he can go for the TD's, he can make it a clinch fight, he can mix his strikes up witht eh TD's to go for the KO.and because of his size and length along with his skill set, there's not much Silva can do other than go for the KO early or try to make it a muay thai fight once in the clinch.
