Weidman first beat a past-prime Silva who was clowning, then beat him via freak accident. Prime Silva destroys Weidman.
His biggest wins are Munoz and Maia. That's it. Weidman came into contention during the MW division's weak point. He will lose to the Dragon who is on the tail end of his prime.

If what you say is true, I am re-considering my opinion of Jesus intervening on fighters behalf's.
The secret is to pray in a NY/Long Island accent!
"Yeah uh, Jesus How ya doin? Chris here. D'ya think you could see what you can do about letting me punch a fukin hole in Anderson's chest? Whatever, I know you're busy & all but I'd consider it a personal favor. Send my respect to ya father, amen."

So when Weidman beats Machida, Machida is going be past his prime?

No, no, no NO!!!!! When he beats Machida, it will be because Machida hasn't reached his prime yet and is still a prospect. Everybody knows that Phil.

No, Machida would be his first top level win. It would justify his belt.
So Anderson Silva was in his prime until he entered the cage with Weidman, then that prime went out the window? Last I checked, the Spider was on a 17-fight win streak going into that Weidman fight. No one else made Anderson look 'past his prime'. And if you point to Chael, I will point to Chaels destruction in the second fight.

I think beating the person that was holding the belt justified his belt.
I guess in your world beating the champ only makes you top 20.

I like me some Anderson Silva but Griffin admitted he was high as a kite before that fight.
Sure it takes talent to do what Anderson does but that fight is a horrid example to point to his dominance when you know the entire situation.

you don't quite get it....
Weidman was 9-0 when he KO'd Silva. Name some "Top 5" guys that Anderson beat when he was 9-0 (well he never was 9-0 but go ahead name a few)
It was Weidman who made it look like Anderson was "past his prime". He never showed an ounce of aging before that fight... Show some respect numb nuts
