Can't blame you. He is #1p4p at man-scaping

Pettis by the last way anybody thinks the fight is going to end.
So, takedown slam knockout.

I give Anjos a chance but he'll need to mix up his striking with his grappling and takedown attempts but what he showed against Nate was a nasty kicking arsenal so could be an interesting fight. I like Pettis tho and he won't submit Raphael but could spark him out with a kick IMO

I'm probably one of the people on this board that likes Pettis the least, and I'd love for RDA to beat him. Having said that, I don't see RDA having much for Showtime. I think Khabib is the guy to beat him

All I've heard from Pettis since his win is how he came away from that fight without any injuries. So.....get him back in the cage ASAP. Stick him on a PPV in March. He has a LOT to make up for and the UFC could use a lot of title defenses in 2015 from anyone who weighs more than 145 lbs.

Why are people saying Pettis won't be able to submit RDA?
Has nobody learned anything from Pettis yet? Melendez has never tapped... oh wait. now he has. Bendo won't tap, he's "Smooth"... oh wait...
No offense, but it's not like RDA dominated Cerrone in the stand up. Once Cerrone warmed up, it was an even fight. Cerrone lost on points. The same guy Pettis tore through in 1 round. And beat him with a body shot. Who saw that coming?
Pettis has torched 2 champs in row, and finished Cerrone and Lauzon with ease.
RDA fought the #2 guy a few months ago and got utterly dominated for 3 rounds.
I'm all for the underdog. But it seems like people are hanging everything on that Bendo finish.

It is that period before the fight. The challenger is THE s---! Pettis is just some guy that guy that got rag dolled by Guida.

Pretty sure Guida broke RDA's jaw and finished him... might have even been a verbal submission.

RDA is damn skilled and he's a beast. That being said, I honestly don't see how Pettis loses to RDA. I feel like he is just a better version of RDA.
Nurmagomedov - Pettis has many more question marks

Clay Guida says otherwise.
Melendez and Bendo had that high pressure, smothering attack to stifle Pettis' dynamic striking, but they let their foot off the gas or lost focus just long enough to get subbed. No room for error when fighting Showtime. It will take a quadrupled layered wool blanket to stop this dynamo.

no as long as Pettis is the champ Cerrone should be banned from fighting for the title

I wouldn't bet on Pettis working his guard game against RDA. Bendo has been submitted in grappling tournaments, Melendez got caught in a tight sub. It can happen. It's happened, but RDA will have the best sub defense and sub game of the three.

RDA had been knocked out only once by monstrous uppercut from Stephens, who is one of the hardest punchers in LW&FW, maybe even hardest. Now he has titanum in his jaw so he can take strikes even better than before, also he has extremely good BJJ, he's been mainly jiu jitsu fighter since the beggining of his career, from 2004. I see him being tougher opponent than Melendez, but Pettis may wear him down with mid-kicks and win by finish. I believe this is a fight that both of them can win, it will mostly depend from the gameplan and stamina of dos Anjos.
