Haha, a guy that "whiner MMA fans" probably aren't going to be big fans of. The guy could fight 8, five minute rounds if it was allowed, that is the type of shape he is in. Wrestling is top notch. Beat the crap out of the last two guys he has faced. But, he has a ton of decisions. I hope they match him up with Dan Hardy, haha.

WWWHHAAPPP......Whaappppp....whhapppp. 72% decisions in his career. Although I'll hand it to him, he won his last fight by tko and is 14-0-1 in his last 15 fights with the last person he lost to being Karo Parisyan.

I thought McKee was a 155er, why all the talk about Hardy and Fitch? Anyway, big props to Joe Silva and McKee himself. I'm biased because he trains at the local BodyShop MMA gym (a warm-up jog away from my house). He is gonna be a problem for a lot of people. And don't worry about all the decisions. He said before his last fight, if he didn't finish his opponent he would retire from fighting. And then he finished him in the 1st round with elbows. I can't imagine Jon Fitch ever saying something like that.

So how bout McKee vs. Maynard? Or McKee vs. Tyson Griffin? This brings up an interesting question: what happens when 2 guys known for going to decisions fight each other? Often when 2 guys known for KOs fight, it goes to a decision (Chuck/Wanderlei, Kimbo/Alexander). Would the opposite be true?

This guy sure came out blazing his last fight and it paid off, he clobbered his opponent with some of the nastiest elbows I've seen. The blood that was pouring out of his face was awesome, very cool fight, I recommend that you watch it if you haven't yet.
If he can keep this up, chalk me up as a fan, if not, oh well he is old anyways

^^^ Amen brotha. Another interesting question this brings up (sorry to keep analyzing).. Why do older athletes seem to have more success in MMA then in other sports? You would think that a human being as a physical specimen would peak in their early 20's. Yet we have Randy Couture, Tito Ortiz, Houston Alexander, Antonio McKee still making waves past the point of no return (30, or in Randy's case 40 -- just hit me! Damn what if Randy still fights when he's 50?? WAR Captain America haha) Is the amount of knowledge necessary for success at the high level of MMA such that it requires over a decade of learning and repetition to be effective? Are Jon Jones and his peers the next coming of third-generation MMA fighters who have trained all aspects of fighting since they were in the womb?

It depends, with mma, it is all about the damage you take, and the fights you have fought. For Houston, he has fought what 18 fights? Couture hasn't even fought that much. But yet you got guys like Arona, and Cro Cop who have more than 30 fights and could be done at any time.
