Let me explain , I am old and have been doing this way too long.
when i first started there was only 4 or 5 divisions in the ufc. (maybe 20-30 fighters in each division)
with so few fighters you knew 95% of the fighters on every ufc card . There was less fighters and less cards so you needed to find a an advantage to win. Your opponent was posted in the sign up thread so you could study his only old picks and and look for tendencies. You could make your picks in order to beat them.
Now with so many fighters, fights, and events you are just mma picking not fantasy fighting anymore.
today it seems like too many fights are decided by who picks the winner of a guy who is 4-1 in his first ufc fight since being on tuf latin america 12 vs a guy who is 8-2 ,(making his ufc debut) coming off 3 1st round ko wins in reality fighting championship.
Anyone else @parson99, @daywork, @buffaloblue, @ns2b, @DanielsanFTW,@sessoms

There is still the aspect of choosing an opponent and studying them. Hence either make a match up yourself or if you're on the main card. It's part of what I did during my run. Worked for me.

ehhhh i guess .... it certainly doesnt work nearly as well. because there are tons of fighters with 0, 1, 2 fights on every card. I spend so much time learning or trying to remember everyone that i dont usually even have the time to look at who i think they will pick ..

I'd have to agree. 3 fights in 3 days. Tough to plan anything.
