I think this fight has passed. Arman is too old now, it's no longer interesting

Belal has two years of contenders backed up right now...that fight only makes sense if you have a star at 155 you want to be champion. Let's see if Islam can get to the 5-6-7 defenses before pushing a Super fight.

Oh I agree. I mostly just think it's funny that Islam was campaigning so hard for the WW title fight and now he has to sit and wait. Belal really gummed up his 5 year plan.

I mean he said he CHOSE him and that others were ready but he CHOSE HIM. I don't know how much more clear that can be. The guy bascially stated TWO OTHERS were ready to TAKE the fight but he CHOSE the bloated, overweight, partying, not in fight camp, flying 14 hours, Drunk guy who is a weightclass BELOW him. But not the contenders prepared? Crazy.

If you outright state you chose that opponent over others? Yeah. Fighters are presented a contract which they have to sign, when Islam had his choice of short notice opponents, he ignored the back up fighter (Gamrot)
Here's what you don't understand, Gamrot was ready (Islam said no), Gaethje was ready (Islam said no), then Islam decided on the bloated, overweight, drunk, not in fight camp, on a boat partying 14+hours away fighter in a lower weight division than himself.
You're doing everything you can to ignore that he stated HIMSELF he CHOSE volk, not he 'called out' like you tried to say on the last post with DDP stating he wants Whittaker, that is requesting. Homie isn't at a press conference listing the names of fighters he turned down in favor of an easier opponent like Islam did.
THERE is your difference.
Islam STATED he CHOSE this opponent over others.
