What are some purchases you've made from infomercials AND did they work as advertised?

My favorite skillet pan. The infomercial shows them wiping off burnt fudge with a paper towel. While the pan doesn't work quite as well as advertised, if you season the pan and spray it with pam, olive oil, etc.... it's a more nonstick alternative to teflon.

Like a vitamix, costing significantly less. Works fantastic. I cut myself on the blades twice in the first two uses. They're ridiculously sharp. Be careful when washing.

Dirty jokes aside.... the hose worked well but was made of chintzy material. Started leaking within a month. I've seen professional grade flex hoses that have metal attachments that would probably work significantly better.

I didn't buy it from an infomercial, but I picked up one of those Wax Vacs since I have earwax problems. It was a total waste of money. The thing is junk.

I bought one of these for my wife for x-mas just because we laugh hysterically every time the commercial is on. It does absolutely nothing, lol.

Yep! I love the commercial, but the product just doesn't work, not even to get water out of the ear, much less wax.
Also, come to think of it, I bought another "as seen on TV" thing a couple of years ago: the Microforce razor. It also wasn't a very good product. I bought it to use when I was on a trip, and not only did it leave me with some inconsistent stubble all over my face, it gave pretty bad razor burn too. It worked a little better/less painfully when I used it with water, but the shave was still pretty inconsistent. Very poor construction though--the shell is cheap plastic, and the paint starts to chip shortly after you take it out of the package. It comes with a great cleaning brush though. I use that to clean my real electric shaver.

I bought the Kinoki foot pads once... supposed to detox you while you sleep... you stick them on the sole of your foot. I don't know if I got detoxed but the pads were black when I took them off so it sucked something out of my feet, lol.
My wife also bought a Ped-Egg for her feet. That thing works and is gross. It's a cheese grater for your feet.
