What are your opinions on attractive women moving up in the business world? Think they use their looks to excel? Think guys are suckers for them and promote them faster/easier? Do you react differently to the attractive ones?
Any working women in this forum?

I think some of them THINK their looks help them excel but ultimately in the end it comes down to your brain power. When it comes to dealing with money in corperations etc...It's CASH over ***!! Not all guys especially those serious and all business can give 2 shits about how she looks but mainly how she works.
Where I use to work their were attractive females everywhere and the non-attractive but I treated them all the same. Just because looks can be decieving and I learned that 1st hand when I dated one of THOSE ATTRACTIVE women in the workplace.

In the TV world, yes! Their good looks did help. But in the Real World, nah...ugly & fat women are the ones on top.

Skinny women got paid substantially higher salaries than heavier women, yet this relationship was much less pronounced at the higher ends of the scale. Meaning that a female employee weighing 50 kilograms would get paid substantially more than someone weighing 60 kilograms, but the difference between 70 and 80 was much less severe. That’s probably because – as Dan and Tim put it – “the social preferences for a feminine body have already been violated”; you’re either skinny or not, but once you’re over the (rather extreme) threshold, we don’t care much anymore about the number on your scale.
Whole article if you want it.

I think heavier/less attractive are more likely to think their looks, or lack thereof, are holding them back than attractive women think their looks can be used for advancement.

Probably more subconscious than anything. People that are attractive and knows they are attractive tend to have a hell of a lot more confidence and expectation of things going there way meaning they are more likely to take the risks associated with advancement, and less likely to suffer the full effects of failure of those risks.

A different issue of women in the workplace:
Somehow an employee who thought herself equal to me found out how much more I made and that I had bonuses. So she got jealous and spiteful and it ruined a very good friendship. At one point I looked at her and asked 'so when you took the job did you negotiate your contract?' 'Uh..no I took what the job pays.'
Well there was her f---ing problem and according to studies on why women are paid less very typical. Men will ask for more and are more likely to leave positions for better ones if they don't get it. I still would have earned more because the boss liked me more but we went back and forth on that contract 4 times and neither of us were fully happy with it.

I thought this was going to be a thread about working with women.
Am I the only one who ranks the ladies in the office?

i tend to agree with that, and it doesn't only apply to women. there are studies that correlate how much money a man makes with his height. they find that taller men make more money than shorter men in the workforce.

Not just money, basically all aspects of "success".
