Damn if Bendo and Gil were not two of the greatest guests ever. Loved hearing Gil reminiscing on beating Kawajiri in Pride and how he matches up with certain fighters.
If you don't have a man crush on Bendo yet, you should. The dude is a class act and a true professional. It was cool to hear that the diamond sign was the sign of his gym.
Hats off to the great interviews today and all the insightful questions. This is the best MMA radio show on the planet.

Thats great to hear! That is one of our goals here, we want to cover the information at hand as well as present the other side of the fighters that you may not get to experience from the limited time you hear them on TV. I'm really glad you guys were into the show today.

I'm glad you guys had Bendo on the show so soon. I have been watching him for a while, including an MFC fight where he pulled out a standing Guillotine. He was great to have on the show! Humble and well spoken.
Also...why are the avatars disabled? Were the pictures getting that gross?

thanks the vile one. i wish i could blog about what happens during the two hours we're there. today was a fun show for me, minus the feeling of wanting to die cause of the severe cold that's overtaken me. if i feel better, i'll share later or maybe just talk about it on the show tomorrow.
it was fun though, that's the rush of being live, is dealing with the situations that present themselves.

I agree that the Bendo interview, and the whole show for that matter was great as always. Goze....even though that call you took while GG was away didn't go anywhere, you had me busting out laughing especially when he did his Clearwater Beach Bad Boy impression and then you told him he wasn't on the show yet....you crushed his entrance.
One thing I noticed....and I haven't listened to the whole show yet, was when Bendo was talking about that grapplers quest that he was DQ'd in against Jonny Hendricks he kept referencing Jonny's coach and how he pointed out to Jonny a technicallity that would get him the win via DQ. I am assuming it was Marc Laimon....any thoughts or if Marc reads this, what happened with that?

That is really the reason I grab your podcasts. The fighters are so interesting as people, really. Some of the most interesting guys are those guys I never gave a s--- about, like Rashad and Ben Henderson. I do want to say that the show needs more Frank Mir...

You guys need to figure out how to get Brock Lesnar on. That would surely be one of the biggest shows ever
.

Well there you go. Hopefully once Brock's situation gets straightened out and if he's ready to fight again he will appear on your show sometime
. It would be huge.

I'm not so stoked on hearing Brock, to be honest. I'll pay to watch him fight, but I truly think he is an a--hole and don't care to hear what he spews out of his c--- holster.

Well, that is exactly right, he's portraying himself as a character, I think. He hinted at that in one of the post-fight press conferences. I don't recall exactly what he said, but it was something along the lines of, "It's left over from my pro wrestling days, just my way of making it exciting for the fans..."
One of the aspects of MMA is the way many fighters carry themselves in and around the ring. Those guys who see themselves as martial artists and treat one another with respect are who I want to hear. If I wanted bulls--- drama, I would watch WWE, or any of the reality shows out now (TUF for instance!). I realize that hyping bouts is part of being in the UFC and competitive guys (Bisping is another) will come off cocky, but what Lesnard comes with is not becoming of a champion, in my opinion.
Thats said, I hope he gets better and defends soon.
