From there the conversation continued, with each man challenging the other and raising the stakes.
"I know it doesn't matter to you, but I can look at myself in the mirror and be ok with choices," Askren said. "In 20 years you will have a very hard time doing the same."
"Hardly," Barnett replied. "I lose no sleep at night in the least. You on the other hand have to judge & throw stones just to be relevant. ... It must feel terrible knowing that without casting insults my way nothing you say matters. You're nearly invisible. Rough life.
"Lastly, go f--k yourself you high & mighty prick. If you want to be famous just come run your mouth next time you see me," Barnett finished.
Askren will be in the blue corner supporting his Roufusport teammate Anthony Pettis at UFC 164, so given the opportunity, he couldn't help but get in one last word.

I don't know. Askren is better P4P. But Barnett has at least 50 pounds or so on Askren.

I understand it is not the same as a fight but I have seen Askren go with NCAA champion Heavyweight wrestlers and Askren break them. You have to look past the fact that he is not chiseled out of stone or a behemoth; the kid is super tough and if you could see his heart it is probably chiseled out of stone and bigger than just about anyones.
I learned a long time ago: Don't sell Askren short.

Although I have to tell you, I never saw Askren fight and know nothing about him, but all of his trash talking and tweeting has gotten me very interested in seeing him fight.

I like Askren. He seems like a cool dude. Looks like he pushed Barnett's buttons. I don't know if Barnett is really anymore famous than Askren . . . at least in North America. A lot of hardcores know who Barnett is, but do the casuals? I don't think I've ever watched a Barnett fight, but I've seen at least one Askren fight. I knew of Barnett back before he beat Randy, but I didn't follow MMA at the time.
