Figured this could have it's own thread since it seems to be coming up at most of their fights.
Went to a few play by play sites, and they've so far had the first 2 rounds to Gavlao... Sherdog, 5oz...
Honestly though, and not trying to incite, but it does seem "dishonest".

hawn/good
imada/curran
hieron was too marketable to lose to weedman
hornbuckle vs weedman
grabowski vs someone, i jsut remember it was a bs decision
they all seem to favor marketing. i mean doesnt it look good for frausto to beat the top japanes women fighter in mma, like they grew their own star in frausto......
:? :? :?

Typical MMA judging.
You have to finish posterboys and challengers being hyped up for title fights if you want to win.

Counter punching should only score you points if you don't receive all the damage...

Even though I agree the Warren call was a bad call, it's not the worst call ever. 30-27 Warren is the worst. Wtf? Who was that judge?

I agree that the 3rd round was def Warren, 2nd round def Galvao , first round was close. I had it 29-28 Galvao, so I'm not terribly mad at the 2 judges who had it 29-28 Warren. But like the post above me, WTMF!! Who could have possibly given that 2nd round to Warren?!? Just awful.

30-27 Judge is "Chuck Wolfe".   He's never judged any other card according to that site. Hopefully we never see him judge another.

i thought Hawn beat Good .... BUT the Warren deciosion felt like a bigger robbery in my mind than a Leonard Garcia fight... it was awful

I don't like Warrens big mouth but, he's usually a great fighter so I was rooting for him last night. NO WAY DID HE WIN THAT FIGHT!

It really seems like to beat a belt holder in a non title fight you would have to finish them because that was a pretty lousy decision.
I didn't even think the first round was close, Warren got thrown around, mounted, kneed, and ragdolled.
I like Bellator but this is getting out of hand

last night was the first time i saw warren fight and me and my dad kept asking whats so good about this guy hes like chris leben granite chin but with wrestling that looked horrible last night until the 3rd he should have lost there was no way warren won round one he ended up on his back 4-5 times failing at takedowns im sorry but that fight was fixed and a judge having it 30-27 proves it Galvao deserved to win and got robbed warren needs to shut up with the baddest man on the planet crap cause aldo would murder him

it's too bad because one of the best things last night was watching Galvao's defence to a Olympic Calibre wrestler, especially since Warren wasn't able to adapt through the first 2 rounds.
And secondly, who takes that many direct knees to the chin and doesn't flinch. That chin is unreal.

I seriously dislike the implication that this is a BELLATOR problem as opposed to a general problem throughout MMA, as ZUFFA and Strikeforce events have been plagued with dubious decisions in the recent past as well.
The judges are not appointed or influenced by the promoters of any given event, therefore the issues with dubious officiating are more to do with the loosely defined judging criteria, many judges lack of familiarity with MMA as a whole and the general lack of consistent professionalism displayed by the SACs.

The reason it is brought up as a Bellator issue, is because this season alone we've had Hieron, Weedman, Hawn and Warren all get decisions that didn't seem right. Zuffa takes a s--- load of criticism as well, Garcia fights, Machida fights, etc... but it's very well discussed when it's a UFC fight.
Dana White usually at least is vocal about the decisions, Rebney never seems to mind, coincidentally enough it's usually his marketable fighters getting the pass.

Maybe he just hasn't judged a lot, but the guy who gave a 30-27 score, has no other cards under his belt on MMAdecisions .com which shows each judges career/decisions and seems to be pretty on the ball. Maybe they've missed some by him, but if you check out the site, they're pretty thorough.
But that also leads to another issue. If a judge lacks familiarity with the sport, why are they being paid to judge it?
One of the posts on the main page points out that even though SAC's appoint judges, it doesn't mean corruption can't happen. We all know sports well enough to know where there is money involved, people will find a way. Not saying that's what's happening, but we can't be niave to think it can't happen.

Fixed judging seems logical, but is it even possible? Like would one of the people related to the CEO of bellator call the commission or the individual judges and offer them money?
