And I thought I failed with my first hip hop list. No Led Zeppelin or ACDC on a best rock band list is the eipitomy of failure.

Excat same situation I was in when I made my list. The Beatles, also ommited, have sold over a billion albums and only Elivs Presley has done the same.
The top 5 selling
original
records by a rock band are:
1) Pink Floyd 'The Darkside of the Moon'
2) ACDC 'Back in Black'
3) Led Zeppelin 'IV'
4) Boston 'Boston'
5) Def Leppard 'Hysteria'
So you only missed the top 3

It doesn't matter who's on the list or not. Cause the truth is, the actual greatest rock band of all time is on the list. And that would be The Rolling Stones.

I first saw this album cover when my sister was working at a record store. I looked at it for a solid minute and finally told her "these chicks look like guys."

If I had to pick an absolute favorite, it would be Metallic. ACDC, Pink Floyd, and Godsmack are also up there for me though.
I can see Journey being on the list. I bet I could play 20 journey songs and 80% of people would know the words. The amount of hits they have is ridiculous. And their Greatest Hits spent like 15 years on the Billboard pop album chart.
