This by far, one of the p4p worse arguements on any mma forum

Oh well thanks for sharing
And why is this can I ask?? Two guys who are nearing the end most likely and are gonna be considered legends. Both have some very good wins in their division over the years. Both have really only lost to top guys.

Because the fought at different weight classes, which reminds me of any p4p talk.. p4p arguements are wastes of time.
Youre welcome, btw.

Yet you still came into the thread to comment? Twice?
PLUS, nobody said anything about P4P besides you. Simply asked who had the better career, not who is a better fighter. Big difference

Any time youre comparing fighters in different weight classes, it is insinuating a p4p arguement, if youre gonna weigh all factors into the topic before making your conclusion on the topic..
that is my humble opinion.. if you dont like that, you will just have to accept the fact i know im right, while you THINK im wrong..
Thats right b!tch, i used caps to express myself too

Rich had the longer run as champ, but Mir stayed top 5 a lot longer. Overall probably Franklin by a tiny bit.
Also, ignore maggotbrain. It's a good question. Some people just hunt for a reason to cry.

i feel like mir stayed top 5 in a div that was pretty thin though mw had some comp where as hw was lacking good fighters for a while there

haha ya all along I thought we were comparing their run in MMA, win streaks, run as a champ, ranking status, number of significant wins, number of wins against the best fighters of their era, etc......guess it was a p4p debate??

Almost as silly as coming into a thread to cry about something that isn't even being discussed. ALMOST.

Both are great.
Mir is fighting tougher guys at HW. Anyone here been hit by a heavy weight? I myself 203lbs hate getting hit by a heavy weight. Its like comparing apples to oranges between weight classes.
Franklin fights middleweights and LHW's. Franklin has more quality wins. Mir fights bad MOFO's that could knock a house off there foundation.
I like both fighters.

It's really hard to say who is the better fighter.
Usually a majority of the people will consider one guy the better fighter, but I think depending on strengths and weaknesses you can't really compare the two.
It's like comparing apples and orange.
But I gotta admit, Franklins a beast!
Rich! Dude fought the best throughout his whole career, always brings it, great striking, held the belt for a long time until he met some bum named Anderson Silva! I have bashed on mir enough for everyone to know why!
Really good question actually.
Franklin was always a complete fighter and had a good title run until he ran into Anderson and then went up to LHW where he's a top gatekeeper. If he stays at MW and just fights anyone not named Anderson Silva he likely would have a few more wins under his belt (he'd destroy guys like Leites, Maia, Leben, etc). He also had a close fight with Dan Henderson at LHW as well and who can forget that incredible Liddell KO (but cmon, Forrest Griffin loss?? :|)
Frank revolutionized himself as a complete MMA fighter later in his career but his title run was cut short by the new BIG UFC HWs (and then the loss to JDS most recently). His title win back in the day was during a very weak HW roster so I can't really compare that to Franklins run at MW since there was no Anderson Silva, Evan Tanner, or Yushin Okami type guys at HW. I still think Mir is a top guy and have nothing but respect for him considering the comeback after the accident and how he made himself so much better (not many of those old school guys were able to do that).
I will say Rich Franklin is the better fighter/career due to quality wins in two different divisions (3? @195 lol) and only being completely owned in a fight twice to the best fighter ever. Most of his fights have been close though.
