It appears Brendan "The Hybrid" Schaub (8-1) and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (36-6-1) may be facing one another at UFC 134: Silva vs Okami.
A source has informed that the bout has been verbally agreed to by both parties, with the two set to be added to the main card, taking place on August 27th, at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Schaub is riding a four fight winning streak, with his last bout a knockout victory over Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic at UFC 128 in March.
Minotauro has not seen action inside the octagon since February of 2010, a knockout loss suffered to the hands of Cain Velasquez, who has since become the UFC Heavyweight Champion. The living legend from Brazil has been sidelined due to various injuries and surgery to his hips and knee.

This is a hard fight to pick...the last time we saw Big Nog was so long ago and he got blasted by Cain Velasquez. I have no idea where he'll be at when UFC: RIO comes around. Schaub looked great against some not so awesome guys and then had trouble with the not so special Mirko Cro Cop until he clipped him in the third.
I think the younger, faster Schaub takes this one (unfortunately) against the older and rusty Big Nog. I will certainly be rooting for Big Nog though as I find Schaub to be full of himself.

Yes, heavyweights Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (32-6-1 MMA, 3-2 UFC) and Brendan Schaub (8-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) will fight at UFC 134.
UFC officials today confirmed the rumored main-card bout.
MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) reported the likelihood of the bout earlier today and said officials were "leaning" toward the matchup. Sportsnet.ca first reported it.
The Aug. 27 event is set for HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro. The pay-per-view headliner pits middleweight champion Anderson Silva against Yushin Okami.
Schaub is looking for another high-profile victory. Since losing to Roy Nelson in the finale of "The Ultimate Fighter 10," the 28-year-old ex-football player has posted consecutive victories over Chase Gormley, Chris Tuchscherer, Gabe Gonzaga and Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipvic. All but the Gonzaga victory came via knockout.
Nogueira, a former PRIDE champion and ex-UFC interim titleholder, hasn't fought since a February 2010 loss to now-champ Cain Velasquez, who won the belt in his very next fight. He then was slated to rematch Frank Mir at UFC 119, but Nogueira ultimately pulled out for knee and hip surgery.
Since winning his first two UFC fights as part of a 7-1 run, the 34-year-old "Big Nog" now has lost two of his past three fights.
The latest UFC 134 card now includes:
Champ Anderson Silva vs. Yushin Okami (for middleweight title)
Forrest Griffin vs. Mauricio "Shogun" Rua
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Brendan Schaub
Edson Barboza vs. Ross Pearson
Luiz Cane vs. Stanislav Nedkov
Tom Lawlor vs. TBA
Spencer Fisher vs. Thiago Tavares
Alexandre "Cacareco" Ferreira vs. Rousimar Palhares*
David Mitchell vs. Paulo Thiago*
* - Not officially announced

Awesome fight. After he wins this one they should matchup the winner of this fight vs the winner of roy/Mir for a number 1 contender fight then that person will get smashed by any of the top 3 guys. Carwin/Jds/Gain (left brock out because we don't know when.he will be back)

First time I've actually been disappointed in UFC Matchmaking.
Im not down with this fight at all
Schaub should be getting Struve/Brown or Kongo/Barry
Nog should be getting Cro Cop or Ben Rothwell

Damn they're making Schaub dust off all the time pieces. People are only mad this is happening 'cause Nog will likely get KO'd, I'm right there but Nog wants to be competitive and always talks about getting the title so idk what he would have proved with a superfight against CC in regards to that. But it's comforting to know I thought Schaub would tear through CC quicker and easier than he did, can't totally count Nog out. Just mostly.

Yeah I think Schaub takes this via TKO or the like. Unfortunately, everyone will still be pissed that he won

It could, but you know he'll be training his submission defense like crazy. I think the only way it goes to the ground is if Schaub takes Nog down.
