Wow!!!! I like it. Good sparring with Aldo and Barao while adding solid tdd skills to his all round skills. Also his conditioning will go through the roof as he'll be getting pushed to the limit.

Really? Last time this fight happened Edgar took him down a lot of times and won easily. And this wasent at WW where most were too big for him. I know what you mean though, but he will learn a lot of technical shitt in the standup at Nova and might benefit him against Frankie when Aldo like tdd is needed

Yeh same here would be good to see him come in shape and ready to kill, if so Edgar will be in trouble.
Training with the likes of Aldo, Barao etc can only make you a better fighter.

Honestly I think Alpha Male would be a better camp for BJ......tons of wrestlers and top cardio guys, plus with Ludwig as striking coach he would have all the tools needed to sharpen up his deficiencies.

I think he shoulda went back to training with the Marinovichs. Like the Bj Penn of UFC 107. I can tell you right now, the Bj Penn of UFC 107 or 101, is the best lightweight who ever lived. A perfect blend of well roundedness, technique, and absolute barbarism. If we see THAT Bj Penn against Edgar at FW....then this fight will get reaaaaaaaaaaal interesting.

I think we can all agree him going to Nova Unioa is a good thing. I also read they are trying to get him to do the camp in Brazil. That is very interesting.

Thats the thing....BJ doesn't need work on his BJJ......he needs work on conditioning and wrestling defense. He needs to go out of his comfort zone to get better, not train with friends lol.

Aldo and Bareo both have great tdd, and its still a new situation but you atleast want to go to a place where you know some one that your comfortable with..and I am sure he will get pushed mightily training with them

I would have been happy if B.J. went with anyone other than his usual camp... AKA, Jacksons, s---.... blackzillions.

I'd rather he work with a sports psychologist and get some of his bloodlust back. Just hasn't seemed to have that same warrior spirit the last few fights.

BJ's comfort zone is is training with yes men in Hawaii and wherever else, I highly doubt the same thing would occur with the guys at Nova and I also doubt the only thing their working on his BJJ.
Either way i just hope he takes it all seriously and puts in the work thats needed to get the job done.

Penn could be training with Exxon and Chevron, he is still gassing in 8mins or less.

I don't know to be honest. Edgar gets hit A LOT and keeps on coming. That's gotta catch up with you someday and perhaps BJ is the guy who catches him and puts him down. I could see BJ trying to push the pace more like he did with Diego Sanchez, just bullying him in the standup. Why he didn't do this the first 2 times? I have no idea...but I still think he could surprise Edgar with something. Edgar's gameplan is one of the easiest to know but toughest to crack though.
