Super Hluk Tournament: Round 1 Review
BadassCoffee vs. Left_Hook_Row
In the first fight of the Super Hluk Tournament, we saw BadassCoffee take on Left_Hook_Row. BadassCoffee, the co-founder and Assistant Team Captain of the newest JFF training camp, The Fight Prophets. Left_Hook_Row is one of the members of the infamous Team Ramrod, and has been dubbed by myself as the Biased News Man for his hatred of all things Castellammarese and his love of promoting his own team via the news.
BadassCoffee got off to a great start early, with Charles Oliveira's dominant performance, and he never looked back. BadassCoffee put on the performance of his career, earning himself a KO win over his opponent, Left_Hook_Row. His performance was so good, that he was awarded the Fighter of the Night award for his efforts. With this performance, BadassCoffee sets himself up as one of the favourites, if not the outright favourite to win the tournament.
BadassCoffee def. Left_Hook_Row by KO ( 103 - 71 )
macca420 vs. mmaisgreaterthanyou
In the second fight of the Super Hluk Tournament, macca420 took on mmaisgreaterthanyou. Macca420 is best know for being the creator of "ECO: East Coast Octagon", the JFF's very first open gym, while mmaisgreaterthanyou is best know for being an original member of Team Xtreme Showdown, the JFF's first ever training camp.
Macca420 got off to a terrible start after Rob Kimmons picked up a decision win. Macca found himself down by 16 points to his opponent, mmaisgreaterthanyou. Macca was unable to gain much ground on mma>u, and headed into the main event 12 points behind. But 2 fights into the main event, and Macca had gained himself a commanding lead with wins for Takanori Gomi and Jake Ellenberger. The lead was too much for mma>u to overturn and macca earned himself a submission win and a place in the semi finals.
macca420 def. mmaisgreaterthanyou by Submission ( 79 - 64 )
Meatmallet vs. fightingewok
In the third fight of the Super Hluk Tournament, Meatmallet took on fightingewok. Meatmallet is best known for being a trash talker in the JFF and was considered the tournament favourite heading into this fight. Fightingewok rose to fame on JUF 3 when he was brought back to replace Mollica93 who had jumped the fence. Fightingewok was also announced as the newest member of team S.P.E.W.
Meatmallet took the lead after the very first fight and held it until the end. Ewok was a game opponent, and was able to keep it close through out the fight, but Meatmallets quality and superior ability came through and he managed to pull out an impressive submission win. As the early favourite, Meatmallet did not disappoint and he did exactly what almost everyone was expecting him to do. With this win, Meatmallet secures himself a spot in the semi finals and will likely continue to be a heavy favourite to take the whole thing
Meatmallet def. fightingewok by Submission ( 89 - 71 )
THEWINNER vs. Mr_Fundamentals
In the final fight of the Super Hluk Tournament, THEWINNER took on Mr_Fundamentals. THEWINNER is known for his ability to quit the JFF and come back without anyone caring. Mr_Fundamentals, who was formerly known as epkenpo is known as one of the greatest fantasy fighters of all time, the creator of the EPK Invitational which is an intersite end of year tournament, and also as a future MMAWeekly fantasy fighting hall of famer
This fight was supposed to be the most one sided fight of the Super Hluk tournament, and was seen by many as a repeat of the Hong Man Choi vs Jose Canesco fight. The fight remained close with Mr_Fundermentals holding a lead all the way up to the John Howard vs Jake Ellenberger fight, were the tide finally changed and THEWINNER took the lead and eventually the win. As the biggest underdog in the previous round taking on the tournament favourite in the semi finals, it is hard to see THEWINNER as anything other than the biggest underdog in this round as well. But THEWINNER showed that every dog has his day and he will need to repeat his performance again to make it to the final
THEWINNER def. Mr_Fundamentals by Unanimous Decision ( 76 - 70 )
Semi Final Macthups
Badasscoffee vs Macca420
Meatmallet vs THEWINNER

I was trying to keep everything relevant to the major leagues, but you are right, that is the best thing he has done

So a 6 point decision win is now a beatdown.

Did I say knockout?
No I believe I said beatdown. The only way it would not be a beatdown, would for me to say that after you had actually beat me. Let me put it this way. My arm was up, yours was down at the end of the fight so I beat your arm down I guess...

I felt good about the set of picks I sent in.
THE WINNER took a risk and locked Ellenburger extremely high even though many thought that was a close fight.
The risk payed off and he won by being the better fighter that night.
I have no other comment, save one.
Don't let him beat you.
The threads will be endless.
