I just read that Bobby Lashley signed a contract with TNA pro wrestling.
TNA apparently is working with him and his manager with his MMA career in the sense that he will get time off when he needs to prepare for a fight.
This makes him the first person to ever be invovled with MMA and pro wrestling at the same time... this is basically free cross-promotion for both companies he is invovled with, and may help recruit even more cross-over fans from pro wrestling.
I wonder what kind of reaction this will bring from the fans...

I think it risks unnecessary injury, unless he's only brought in as a personality.

I doubt it, when he was with the WWE, he had no personality. Unless you mean just to use his face, and maybe have him attack someone every so often. But I do agree that it would be foolish for him to be involved with matches on a regular basis.

Hey, Paris Hilton has no personality, yet she's considered a "personality".

Was Ken Shamrock involved in both at one point? Or did he stop mma when he started pro wrestling?

He wasn't training MMA when he was with WWE. He just flip-flopped between the two.

That's what i was thinking too. He talked a lot about how he wanted to get into the UFC, and with this, I think he just ruined any chance he might have had... its going to be awhile now before we see him in the octagon.
