Amid subtle product placement, Brock Lesnar took to Youtube to announce "I'm back." But that was it. Brock gave no indication of if he was in the gym or when he expected to fight again. (He did, however, shoot a bunch of heavy guns and talked about "animal disintegration.")
MMA Weekly caught up with UFC President Dana White, who shed some light on the former heavyweight champ:
"Brock's gonna get back in the gym in September. Start training again, cause he hasn't done anything since his surgery -- training wise. Brock will probably be back the first of the year."

Some speculation arose that Lesnar would be the man to anchor the UFC's first event on Fox, which they announced would take place on November 12 in Anaheim. You can officially toss his name out of that ring.
Frank Mir has been linked as the most likely opponent for Lesnar's return. That was the UFC's intention before Lesnar's latest round with diverticulitis. Lesnar and Mir split a pair of bouts at UFC 81 and UFC 100.

Did you seriously have to start another thread? You start a thread on every little thing you find even though this would easily have been fine in one of the other threads about Brock returning.

This is a set date for Brock Lesnar's (the highest marketed fighter in today's game) return. I think you could say it's thread-worthy.
Trolololol.

I'm not a Brock fan, but nobody can deny that he isn't good for mma's bottom line. I'm all for him coming back as quick as possible, I just wish I didn't have to see Mir/Brock 3. I mean, it makes sense for UFC-the fight is easy to market. Then again, you could put Brock up against any one and the ratings would be very solid. I suppose this is a fight that Brock is very confident with as well considering everything.
I just really don't need to see a third fight. Yeah, I know they are 1-1 against each other, but still. It's not like this is Frankie/Gray or anything like that.
The question is, what other HW's would/could be available at that time? I'm too lazy to look it up!

Alistair Overeem, Shane Carwin and Cheick Kongo all aren't booked. I think those are the most logical answers.

Good call.
I'm not a fan of Overeem/Reem, at all. And not because I do not want to see the two fight, but because it be best for UFC's bottom line to hype up Overeem more. It only be good for the HW division.
As for Kongo, I wonder if Brock would even accept a fight? How do you go from fighting more of the top tier guys to fighting Kongo.
Carwin would maybe be an OK rematch. That was a fun fight. Maybe that's a risky fight though considering Brock has been out for a bit IDK.

Kongo is booked against Mitrione October 29th, so a NYE turnaround is a bit tight
Schaub/Big Nog winner would be a possible option.

Mir or Schaub/Nog makes more sense I think. Carwin should fight someone like Jon Madsen to get back in the win column

Yeah. I guess it goes to show in the UFC if you're not exciting they have hardly any interest haha.

Ano what your saying but a really hope we dont see those match-ups especially the Kongo/Lesner, only fight that intrigues me is The Reem soon as the UFC comes out and say they've Signed Alistair a think we'll shortly find out its against Brock.

Kongo vs Lesnar will turn out the same way Reem vs Lesnar would turn out...Lesnar take down and murder lol.
Let Mir fight Reem...would be a big fight for Mir and Mir would finish Reem late in the fight. Reem would gas and yeah probable get taped. I mean his overated *** got outstruck by Werdum.
Give Lesnar....eh I say Cheick Kongo...or maybe a big fight against Big Nog. These are two fights I wanted to see when Brock just became Champ.

Overeem/Lesner is a much bigger fight than Big Nog would be.

Brock vs Dan Henderson. Dan moved up once for a big pay day, see if he'll do it again.
