Is it just me or do all non-UFC MMA ring announcers try to imitate Bruce's style? I'd be cool with it if only they could do it as well as Bruce, which most can't.

He's 1000x better than that Blonde guy who speaks through his nose. Also, I think "The Voice" could be a good Ring Announcer.

I love Bruce but I always feel like he's perpetually second best to his older half-bro Michael. I don't blame him though, Michael has God's vocal chords and there's never been a better catch-phrase than "Let's get ready to rumbllllllllllllllllllllllle!"

I don't think they try to imitate him they are all trying to imitate the general announcer voice. The buffer brothers just so happen to be the best at it

I've never though Bruce was great. I think it sounds forced, whether it is or not. When Michael is announcing it just flows. I really like Joe Martinez, WEC announcer. I thought he was really damn good and sounded alot like Michael Buffer. But to answer the OP's question I don't think anyone tries to copy Bruce.
@Hitman, I agree. It's TIME, is kinda lame.

i honestly do not know how anybody can give Bruce Buffer any praise. to me, he is the worst of all the known announcers. the thing i hate the most about him is that he pronounces a lot of fighters names wrong even though Goldberg/Rogan/the world knows how to pronounce them correctly...most recently Rafael Dos Anjos. now if UFC brought in Joe Martinez from WEC then i'd be cool with dat.

the guy that does the ring annoucing for ixfa and legacy here in texas hands down is the worst annoucer ever. He goes on and on in between round about BLOOOOOODDDDDDD and modern day gladiatiors giving up their sacrifices to the bloody masses. im not making this up. I wish i had a video it is terrible.

I think Bruce is awesome. His fighter intro's really get me in to the oncoming match. It wouldn't be the same without him.

This +1000. Last Saturday I watched the Klitschko vs Haye fight. Its sad but the best part of the whole fight was "Lets get ready to Rumble...." My wife is German so she knew who Klitschko was, and who Michael Buffer was... We watch MMA almost every week, sometimes twice a week and all big UFC events... She never knows who the fighters are, but she knew Buffer. That tells you how much more famous he is over Bruce. And "Its time" could use some work.... But in the MMA world Bruce is the best, except when his brother does an MMA event.
