I don't know where else to post this, so mods I apologize if this is not the right way to go about it, but I think we need to get a separate board, or maybe just a stickied thread for these fantasy matchups.
I don't have a problem with people wanting to post them and talk about them, but when they are taking up 20-25%+ of the first page of the general discussion board, I think there's a problem. I would rather have this board be for discussion of actual stories, signed (or at least rumoured) fights, events, and other discussion topics. Having 5 or more of these Anderson vs. XXXX threads on the front page pushes those stories down the list.
Plus I think having a separate board for those threads would eliminate a lot of the bickering that goes on in them.

All of these threads are started by Datruth or caused by his ridiculous arguements so people start fanasty threads to prove him wrong but all they do is feed into his stupidity. He going to argue his bad points and change his arguement constantly no matter what he is argueing we all need to ignore him and he will fade off

Vera/Rampage and Diaz/Hardy and both very possible fight at some point in time.
Overeem vs Anderson is the only little bit fetched one, but if you think about it, it really isnt that ridiculous.

AS is considered the best striker in MMA by most, and talks about fighting at HW. Overeem fights at HW and has some big wins in K1. It's a reasonable thread imo. I think the main problem is the quantity, especially by a single poster.

Take your own advice man. If you don't have anything to contribute to this thread just pass on by. This was not a personal attack on any one poster, just a suggestion to clean up the board a bit.
For the record, I haven't been commenting on those threads, but they stay on the main page because of all the bickering.
In DaTruth's defense, I think they can make interesting topics for discussion from time to time, I just think they shouldn't be cluttering up the main board.

It's annoying to open up the General MMA page and see "Roy Nelson vs Mir", "Roy Nelson vs Kongo", "Roy Nelson vs Gonzaga", "Roy Nelson vs Jenny Craig" etc.
If the fight has been announced, put the thread in General MMA. If the fight hasn't been announced and it's purely hypothetical, put the thread somewhere else.

New Fantasy category where these threads should drop, and if a match up comes to "live" meaning someone makes a thread today about Jon Jones vs AS, and it comes real in 2012, it could be brought to the general section.

I dislike these threads too, so I just ignore them. Mostly.
I don't find them all that disruptive, there are maybe 3-4 on the first page of Gen MMA right now. Quite easy to overlook.
I creating a whole new category to hold threads that everyone says they hate is exactly the wrong approach, just gives them more attention and legitimacy.
Ignore them, they get maybe 10 responses that way, and drop off the first page very quickly.
