The sanctuary discourages tagging, though the female might be tagged while rehabbed since she is a full grown adult.

Here is a video of the juveniles last week, along with the male named Shadow.

 
Oh I'm surprised at that, a lot of rehabbed animals are chipped or tagged over here we can monitor their progress and learn about their habits

It might be an issue for birds if they are banded young and then grow out and the band starts getting tight on the leg. Idk if certain birds can have chips implanted, especially when young.

I have spent hours watching this. A few weeks ago the wife was like "you're staring at an empty nest in a tree..."

15 min later - "Still nothing huh?"

"Just wait."

"Why don't you come back to this later?"

"Why don't you shut your damn mouth and let me do my thing here"

Chips require nfc infastructure so maybe thats part of it

We have an artifical falcon (Wikipdeia says kestrel?) nest near 2 lakes just outside of our little town.
One time we finally saw some babies and decided to wait until the mother comes back so my wife can take a few pictures. (I can't operate a camera.. big surprise, i know :D )
waited for 20 minutes and decided to leave and right then the babies started chirping, so we got our hopes up again and 2 minutes later mommy (or daddy) brought the food and she could take a few pictures.

Sometimes the wait is worth it, often times not, but it never feels like wasted time :D

I'm watching my version of reality tv.
 
Heres one for the historians.

I'm comfortable enough at the play I'm babysitting that I was able to take in the story and not be focused on tech. So it's set in 1825 Ireland and they manage to get together enough sheckles for passage to America. And it was rough going now, those famine transits were infamously so. But the final number tells me they made it and they're excited to start their new life. Listing all the places the could go and they mention Hawaii. So, they were at sea for 73 years????
