According the Cesar Gracie, when Nick Diaz returns from suspension he will likely face Koscheck because that's the match they gonna go after. He also thinks GSP will mop the floor with Condit.
I feel thats a bad matchup for Diaz Koscheck has solid wrestling.

We will see. There's a couple factors that I feel you may be missing. Koscheck doesn't seem to use his wrestling as much anymore, and Diaz does a fantastic job by getting fighters to fight out of their gameplan.
I could see Koscheck taking Diaz down and controlling him. However, I could see Diaz battering Koscheck in the stand-up as well.

If Koscheck gets his heavy hands on Diaz' chin, could be a short night for ol nicky.

Who has Koscheck knocked out recently besides Hughes who's chin is shot? Koscheck's best bet is to grind of the decision but I think Diaz avoids the take down and lights up Kos on the feet for a decision.

Nick Diaz is known for having a great chin. Paul Daley was the last guy I remember dropping Diaz, and he's a much more technical and powerful striker than Koscheck. And Kos has over-rated power anyway.
If this fight stays standing, Diaz wins it easily. Koscheck hasn't been the same since GSP destroyed his eye, a few jabs to it & he'll be mentally broken (and it'll probably swell up again). Plus Diaz is simply a much better striker than Kos.
Having said that, Kos has one of the best power doubles in MMA and great top control. If the fight goes to the ground, it would be a great fight between Koschecks wrestling and Diazs offensive guard.

I think Diaz lights Kos up really bad in the standup.

Not so much as people like to think. Diaz has gotten tagged with some big shots and he recovers quickly and he doesn't get dropped that often. In his last 9 fights, going back to 2008, Nick's been dropped twice; Daley and Zaromskis. I can't think of any others. Both times, he recovered and won.
I gotta go with the Diaz has one heck of chin theory.

Come on man stop being silly..Koshcheck has 2 big shots in his hands and will be eating up real mma boxing from all angles from Nick(not to mention his solid chin and fast recovery from his worldclass conditioning) after getting occasioinally dropped in fights..
However,I agree with Grimreapers, and think that Koshcheck is a bad matchup for Nick..Personally I can see Josh Grapple f---ing Nick, without being submitted for the the whole 3-5 rounds into a frustrating decision(A bit like Koshcheck v Daley fight)..

Well, Koscheck does have power. He's not very good at applying it but one or two big shots, a quick jump on a downed Diaz and yes, I can see it.
However, that's some seriously low probability stuff.

Diaz comes in with his hands down stalking his opponent in every fight showing no respect for their standup. Kos has serious power in his hands is Diaz gets in his famous exchanges he could be put to sleep with a punch from Kos. The same could be said about Diaz touching Kos's eye he seems to freeze up every time it is hit

Hard fight to pick.Nick will push the pace an be coming forward like always. Kos will need to find his take downs and maintain position inside Nicks highly offensive guard .Lots of pressure for Kos to follow a flawless gameplan while Nicks field of area that he can use for the win is much broader

As a big Diaz fan and Kos hater I don't like this matchup. Kos could easily take Diaz down and get a dec

Koscheck vs Paul Daley 2.0 but at least Nick has a solid bottom game and will be far harder to smother.

I'd love to see this fight. Hopefully Diaz can stay on the outside and pick Kos apart.

Diaz will run through him with ease. Koscheck will get boxed up and tapped out.

Kos has one sub loss in his career and that was against Drew Fickett I believe Technical Submission (rear-naked choke) which by technical I am thinking he was choked out

This should be an interesting fight and if Diaz can keep it on the feet he should take this easily. If Koscheck is able to grapplef*ck him to a decision then it will be obvious that Diaz wouldn't have much of a chance against GSP so this is a good matchup. There should be a lot of fun trash talking as well.
