Chael let up in the Bisping fight for a few reasons.
1.Most importantly he wants a rematch with Silva and if he doenst look Elite against Bisping then Silva might want to fight him
2. He likes Bisping, and making Bisping look strong against him would extremely helpful for the UFC and Bispings Career at the while helping himself.
3. Letting up a little bit makes the match a little bit more of a control for position and nobody gets hurt, he gets a tileshot asap.
And basic fact it wasnt an impressive fight against Bisping and I believe if Sonnen dominated Bisping, Silva might still be refusing to fight him because hes "already beat him and hes just a disrespectful person"
I felt weird watching the whole hype and bromance going on between bisping and sonnen, and something made me feel like something was fixed or a bit strange.
I would like to believe that was the best Bisping we get to see and that Chael gave it his best, but I would not like to think that Bisping was that good before that fight.
I left feeling a A. Extremely Impressed by Bisping or B. Some strange Conspiracy may be at hand...

Bisping does very well against wrestlers............and bottom line chael is just a wrestler
there was no "going easy" on bisping
this is kind of what i expected from mma fans after the fight...........more that it was somehow chaels fault/problem and not that bisping is actually a good fighter.
its embarrassing but predictable from mma fans.

Im notgonna lie, i was seriously wondering if sonnen made it look like he wasnt that good. I like both fighters, but i thought sonnen was gonna get easy takedowns and gnp

Would he risk losing on the scorecards ? You gotta remember that a lot of people thought Bisping won.
If that conspiracy theory was true, he probably would've kept Bisping on the ground for two entire rounds, just to make sure he wins. That didn't happen, it was a close fight because it was a hard fight.

Smh.... This is just blatant disrespect. Bisping is just that good. Unlike Sonnen's last few opponents Bisping has some serious TDD that is all and he's always a gamer when it comes to fighting.

Bisping has better TDD than Anderson SIlva and Brian Stann who were the guys Sonnen dominated with his wrestling. No consipiracy.

Or maybe Bisping is a solid fighter? I don't care for the guy and think he can act completely without class or sportsmanship but Bisping is a well rounded top 5 MW fighter.

C'mon now let's be serious for a second. These are both two grown men who are professional fighters that went in there looking to take each others heads off. I assure you that Chael did not "take it easy" on Bisping. Hell many people thought Bisping won the fight

He couldn't keep Bisping down. Bisping held a greco roman guy against the cage for a good part of the fight and Sonnen tired out before he finally got Bisping down. No theory about it.

Sonnen fought probably his best fight ever in the first fight. If Paulo Filho wasn't chasing imaginary people, the rematch was one of Sonnen's coming of age fights as well.
i give it almost a zero percent chance that it resembles anything like the last fight. It's not going almost the distance again. There were times when Sonnen was gnping Silva's head into the canvas that the ref could have stop the last fight and if it was lesser fighters, probably would have. Silva didn't defend much in that fight, mostly lied there and took the strikes. Didn't have the vicious elbows from the bottom. One would think it's not going to be easier this fight.
Sonnen won 4 rounds and controlled 99% of the last fight, so it's hard to expect him to do better than that. he fought his game plan to a tee and executed it perfectly, beyond perfectly and still lost.
He fought Bisping on short notice and had been preparing for a wrestler in Munoz. there's was no extra motivation against Bisping on a weeks notice. i take the Stann fight as a better fight.
