UFC middleweight number one contender, Chael Sonnen turns his attentions from Anderson Silva to Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and the rest of the light heavyweight division in his latest rant.
Speaking via FightHype.com, Sonnen said:
“If I beat Anderson Silva, win the world title, I imagine I’ll get in a public dispute with the UFC. I’ll call Dana a bunch of the names throughout the media. I imagine I’ll leave the company. After about a year or so I’ll realize there is no where else to go, return to the UFC with a raise and probably coach the reality show.”
“I would love to go 205. 185 pounds is the toughest division in the business. So if you’re going to go after the belt, go after the tough one. But I’d love to get a night off and beat up some of those… for god sake, 205 had a karate guy that was their champion. I mean that weight class is a joke.”

He's really taken the "heel" role and ran with it lately huh?

I've been finding Chael's non stop diatribe rather humorous but if he called 185 the toughest division and said that about 205 I must say he has finally lost his grip on reality.

I agree, the only thing more stacked is the men's 115 lb division.

Wow. Chael is basically talking smack just for the sake of generating publicity. Getting a little out of control, don't see how anyone could consider voting for this guy as their state representative.
*The karate guy would work Chael over.

Ha ha! This guy seems to be scoring points daily with me.
I love all this talk, which will result in 2 things really:
1) A total bad-*** fighter is around and talks uber amounts of trash and then backs it up vs. a P4P favorite
2) Chael just gets totally annihilated and has to eat his words (likely through a straw)
Either way, I'll be satisfied with how this goes.

This dude is doing everything in his power to try and make people know who he is. He wants your average fan to know his name because he knows without talking trash about every single person in the UFC and making everyone hate him, no one will care in 6 months.

 Indeed he has. That is the only reason he is doing it at this point. that is the only explanation for some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth. I do enjoy hearing him speak though. I find it pretty damn funny personally.

That would be tough, especially coming off a loss, if he doesn't defeat Silva. Can't say that I wouldn't like to see it though.

Chael will only be remember by being part of Anderson's ko highlight reel. No one will care about him after he gets destroyed in August.

Anderson will give knowledge to Sonnen while he is Koed. I want Sonnen to win, but he isn't goin to.

Whats funny about this is, that karate guy isn't JUST a karate guy. Machida would wreck him.
And, I gotta say, 205lb is probably the deepest division in the UFC right now. Rua, Machida, Rampage, Rashad, Lil Nog, Bones, Bader..... from champion to up and comer, are ALL tough fights for anyone.
But, it really doesn't matter what Chael says. I just want to see him fight Anderson, and get wrecked.

At least he'll push Anderson. The same cant be said about Griffin/Leites/Cote/Maia/Irvin/.I think Franklin is the only one to take a risk against him.And look what happened to him.So either way it'll be worth watching.

You have no idea if he will push Silva or not. He could get KO'd in the first minute of the fight. Also, I'm pretty sure Griffin took a pretty big risk against Silva and lost.

Griffin moved forward the entire fight, even after getting knocked down a couple times.
Irvin got hammered within the first minute. Not really time for stuff to develop.
