I don't know if this has already been posted or not (I haven't seen it), but Chael Sonnen (in my opinion) should beat more top tier opponents before talking like he is King of the Middleweight division. Yes he beat Okami and Dan Miller by decision, but Maia subbed him in under 3 minutes. And I expect Marquardt to completely squash him in their fight in February.

Sonnen never really fails to come off as an a--hole. I've seen him give a quote several times where I am left thinking 'Could he have been any more of a douche?' Like before the Fedor/Rogers fight he was saying something like 'Two fat bums throwing haymakers. Yawn, wake when its over.' The guy with a rather average career who has never come near the top calling maybe the best fighter ever a bum is rediculous.
I like him as a fighter but he doesn't really have the greatest personality.

I disagree, two years of improving your game under Jackson and working with GSP and Rashad combined with winning fights is well worth a title shot.

Ya I've always known Sonnen to be a very humble and nice guy. Very professional. I think what he's doing here is just creating hype for a fight with anderson if he beats nate. But I bet there's a lot of truth in what he's saying. All he's saying is that Anderson Silva has a lot of hype surrounding him which gets in guys' heads, but not his. I bet what he's saying is true too, that Anderson can speak pretty good english, but hides behind his accent and lack of english to stay out of interviews and out of the lime light. Anderson isn't a flashy guy, and probably stays away from it all because he doesn't want to tarnish his image or be a big public figure. It hurts his fan base and marketability, but I dont think he cares. He has plenty of fans in Brazil.

People I watch fights with have said this many times. You can see it when he smirks or smiles, nods or shakes his head... in other words answers questions non verbally before Soares gets a chance to start talking. Blatantly obvious he knew exactly what was being said and sometimes looks as though he wants to answer but forces himself to keep his lips closed tight.
Too bad Sonnen won't get by Nate. It'd be fun to see AS murder him.
